We stayed at Hotel Hankyu RESPIRE Osaka for 5 nights with our family and had an excellent experience. The biggest advantage of this hotel is undoubtedly its location. It is practically connected to Osaka Station, providing seamless access to major JR and Osaka Metro lines. Shin-Osaka Station is only about 10 minutes away, making intercity travel extremely convenient. Reaching the hotel for the first time can feel a little overwhelming depending on which train or metro line you arrive from, as Osaka Station is massive. However, the hotel has done a fantastic job placing directional signs throughout Osaka Station City. Simply follow the signs and you will eventually reach the hotel. We also found that JR and Metro staff were familiar with the hotel and readily helped point us in the right direction. The hotel reception is located on the 9th floor. The lower floors are occupied by Links Umeda and Yodobashi Camera, which is incredibly convenient for shopping. There is also an excellent food court on the 8th floor offering a wide variety of food and beverage options. It is directly accessible from the hotel and was always bustling with both tourists and locals, which is usually a very good sign. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, well laid out, and noticeably larger than typical Japanese hotel rooms. For families, the extra space is a major advantage and greatly enhanced our comfort during the stay. The breakfast spread was excellent. As Indian vegetarians, we particularly appreciated the hotel's effort to include fully plant-based options. During our stay, they offered items such as plant-based ramen, udon noodles, and soups on a rotating menu. Finding good vegetarian options in Japan can sometimes be challenging, so this was a significant plus for us. The staff throughout the hotel were courteous, professional, and well trained. On multiple occasions, they went above and beyond to assist us, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
