Overview
Open from March 2016, Bonfire Hostel Osaka offers cozy dormitory rooms and private rooms located in a quiet neighbourhood. Nishitanabe Station on the Midosuji Line is a 9-minute walk away while Harimacho bus stop is a 2-minute walk away. Popular areas including Tennoji and Shinsekai can be reached via a 5-minute train ride. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property. By train, Namba Station is a 12-minute ride while Umeda Station is a 21-minute ride away. Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine can be reached with a 9-minute drive while Nagai Stadium is a 17-minute walk away. There are convenience stores, supermarkets, restaurants and pharmacies near Bonfire Hostel. Guests can cook their own meals using the shared kitchen. Shower rooms and toilets are shared. “Great place to stay in Osaka! I would return.”
Manager was very nice and welcoming. Beds were soft and comfortable. I got a great 12 hour sleep one night. Urinals in the men's room means there isn't urine all around the toilet which is very appreciated. Lots to love. Showers were clean but a bit small. For the price point it's well worth considering. I'd return to this hostel for sure.

Bonfire hostel is a very cosy place with helpful staff who speaks good english. It is perfect for a stay in Osaka away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, to soak in the vibes of the neighbourhoods :)

“Dont put anything on the bed”
Staff was friendly but my bed had bedbugs and i dont wanna be dramatic but my trip is kinda ruined by having to clean everything and making sure i dont bring them home. Also of course the bites are terrible and its hard to enjou yourself if all your limbs are itching.

The hostel was good value for money and only a short walk from good transport links. There are plenty of options to eat nearby. The owner is very friendly. The mixed dorm is of a good size.

The room is exactly as it looks on the picture - spacious for Japan and full of light. Very good vibes, great rooftop terrase, close to supermarket, backery and coffee shop, on the metro line for Shin-Osaka and Namba stations (great for daytrips), kind and helpfull staff, very clean.

Bus stop is across the road from the hostel, subway station in 5-10 minutes (depends from your speed). The family room was even bigger than I needed. Hostel provides a lot of supplies that some other more expensive places don't. Location is not far from interesting spots like Dottonbori, TeamLab or ShinSekai

“got a great nights sleep - the host is very kind!”
the loveliest hostel experience! the host is so kind and helped me practice my japanese :) the facilities are excellent and there are cute cartoon drawings to find everywhere! the beds are very comfortable and clean and it was the most sound proof place i’ve stayed so far in japan - definitely recommend!
