Overview
Set in Castelrotto, in Val Gardena, Hotel Pinei offers a spa, a restaurant, and a free winter shuttle to Ortisei, 5 km away. The hotel was easy to find with parking right outside, and check-in was smooth and straightforward. Our room was very spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking the beautiful surrounding scenery. Breakfast on the second day was excellent — plenty of options and a reserved table was a thoughtful touch. The outdoor heated pool was a great facility too, and when it snowed the staff were really helpful in assisting us to clear the car. The town of Ortisei is only around an eight-minute drive away and has plenty of amenities including restaurants — though you would really benefit from having a car to get around easily.

A wonderful experience staying at this property. The photos don’t do the place justice with their amenities and mountain views. It was a very relaxing place to return after a day of hiking. Make sure you take advantage of the sauna, and the outdoor spas and pools.

Spacious room, modern set-up and good size balcony. All neccesary facilities inside the room and nice spa with extended access on check-out day. Location with a gorgeous view to the valley. Welcome aperitivo hour was a pleasant surprise!

“Great spa and family hotel”
The hotel is located in a valley on the edge of Val Gardena. Private and picturesque, it’s only 7minutes by car from Ortisei. The hotel is furnished in traditional mountain style, the spa is great, divided into two parts, the swimming pools, including heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi and a sauna area with traditional and steam saunas. The breakfast is really great, including Prosecco and made to order egg dishes. There’s also a free shuttle service to the main ski lifts in Ortisei and a nice ski storage room.
