Overview
Set in the centre of Ortisei, Hotel Angelo Engel offers a free wellness centre, free hiking and skiing excursions, and a traditional restaurant. All Alpine-style rooms include an LCD TV and free WiFi. The Angelo is 500 metres from the Alpe di Siusi, Europe's largest high altitude Alpine meadow. The hotel runs a free winter ski bus to the village and all surrounding ski lifts. The rooms have warm wooden furnishings and feature satellite and SKY channels. Each comes with a bathrobe, slippers and a toiletry set. Most rooms feature a balcony. Guests can enjoy a varied sweet and savoury buffet breakfast at the Angelo Engel. The restaurant serves local and Italian cuisine at lunch and dinner. The spa area includes an indoor pool, a hot tub and a Turkish bath. Several saunas invite to relax. The heated outdoor pool is available all year and features a hydromassage area. Beauty treatments and massages are also available.

It was fabulous from the moment we checked in and were kindly gifted a free upgrade! We found the hotel generally so wonderful, as well as the staff. Everyone was kind and helpful. We enjoyed the facilities onsite as well as the hotel bar that had such delicious wine options. We booked the rate inclusive of breakfast and dinner and the food was amazing. The hotel was conveniently located and had stunning views everywhere you looked! Highly recommend travelling in October, the weather was lovely for hiking.

“Couldn’t beat the location”
The location was great, cable carts for both Seceda and Alpe Di Sussi were walkable (~5mins). The rooms are cosy and clean, and the spa facilities are great. We also didn’t realise that afternoon snacks were included which was a great bonus.

This was one of our best stays ever. We were a young people and the youngest people around but we felt very at home. Everything is top notch and the hotel is like a family. We got to know every single person there, including the staff, the owners and all the guests They organise hikes everyday, trails that you wouldn’t find yourself. Also breakfast hikes, and even did a bbq for all the guests. Some of the best food we had were on these organised events

Beautiful hotel and fabulous location with the perfect backdrop. All the staff were fabulous and very attentive. We could not fault the service(s) provided by this hotel. In particular we enjoyed spending time with the hotel’s personal hiking guide George (no additional cost), who was fabulous. We would highly recommend this hotel for its service, location and value for money.

“An exceptional stay in Ortisei”
This is an amazing hotel walking distance from the town centre and gondola. From the moment we checked in until we checked out we were taken care of by amazing staff who delighted in making our time in Ortisei memorable in every way. From the front desk, dining, lounge, wellness centre and room staff nothing was too much trouble. The dining experience was lovely and watching the staff speak multiple languages as they moved between their guests made it such a warm and caring environment. A lovely touch is 'tea time' every afternoon where all the guests gather in the lounge for afternoon tea and enjoy a beautiful selection of home cooked goods from the kitchen. Another highlight was the evening you roasted chestnuts in the courtyard for us all. You have a way of bringing guests together which creates a wonderful warm atmosphere. Well done Angelo Engel your staff are your best asset! We will definitely be back one day.
