this was the best money i had spent on my holiday by far. the location was just beautiful, waking up in the mountains with the most gorgeous view i have ever seen. having a little balcony was great, and being able to just walk downstairs and have our breakfast laid out forbid was incredible.

Our stay here was amazing! The view from our balcony was just perfect, we had the Rosengarten (Sassopiatto & Sassolungo) view. The service was also great, the Chalet’ staff were so friendly and food were also great. Nothing to complain about!

Chalet Rescciesa is probably the best place to stay if you want to make Ortesei your base to explore the Dolomities. Michael and his family are fabulous, caring and warm hosts that make your stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. Hands down, the property offers The Best views of Val Gardena Dolomites. If you stay in the Mountain View room, it will be one of the best views you’ll experience in a lifetime. Another must do recommendation is to eat at their restaurant which is so delicious and authentic. Will blindly recommend this place to anybody who wants to have once in a lifetime experience in the Dolomites. The rooms are wooden, clean with modern amenities and very costly and warm. Perfect rustic vibes at the top.

The chalet is situated up the mountain in the pine woods. The views were absolutely incredible. The rooms were tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The evening meal was delicious and Michael was an excellent host. Thank you.

Michael is an excellent host. The view is worth every penny. The breakfast is exceptional next to a cosy log fire. There is a superb sledge run just outside, which a lot of Ortisei use, because it is so good for the children.

Everything about this property made it an extravagant stay! Location was absolutely breathtaking and easy transportation to get there. Family owned and run property so everything is well prepared with care and the effort. They are warm and friendly and the way they welcome guests is remarkable. View is second to none. Food is delicious. Room was charming, clean and comfortable. Our only regret is not staying longer!
