What an amazing stay at Refugio del Cares! From the very first moment, we felt warmly welcomed and genuinely cared for. The secure parking was a big plus, and the location is simply perfect for exploring the Picos de Europa, especially Ruta del Cares and Lagos de Covadonga. Everything was spotless — the cleanliness was impeccable. The bed was extremely comfortable, the surroundings peaceful and quiet, and the little pool was a wonderful place to relax after hiking. The breakfast was excellent, but dinner was even more impressive. The atmosphere feels elevated and refined, yet still cozy, romantic, and authentic. Every detail is thoughtfully taken care of. But the very best part of this place is the owners. Their kindness, warmth, and attention to detail are truly second to none. They go above and beyond to make your stay special and memorable. Would we recommend it? Yes — 1000%! We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for everything, guys!

The food is authentic, made by the very kind owners. They also pay attention to special diets. Location is great and very quiet. Cleanness is top. It’s a wholehearted place run by a cute family. We regret no to book a longer period.

Charming house, everything was perfectly taken care of—both the room and the facilities were excellent. A little slice of paradise. Everything was perfect with our stay. Spotlessly clean, modern, attentive and friendly staff. We ate two evening meals there and the food was delicious, so was the breakfast.

Our hosts Dragos & Aida were delightful, their hard work to ensure we were comfortable and had all that we needed was exceptional. We opted to enjoy the tranquility of the accommodation so spent one of the days enjoying the pool and the garden. We ate breakfast and had 2 evening meals you can’t fault the presentation and quality of the food on offer. Well done to you both and every success for the future. Not forgetting baby Mickola being serenaded by Dragos walking around the garden , such pleasure.

“Paradise in the mountains”

I can hardly put in to words how amazing this place is - 10/10 seems too low! The stunning location, fabulous rooms including gorgeous linens, breathtakingly great food and the immaculate attention to detail made this a stay we shall never forget! The lovely owners were on hand at all times but also discreet and there was a calmness in the way they worked together to create a really friendly vibe!

Our room was top floor with amazing views. Nicely laid out and comfortable. The food was amazing and the hosts were so helpful and welcoming. We had 1 dinner and 2 breakfasts. All were a delight.

Breakfast was an excellent selection of fresh fruits, yoghurts, cereal and cooked options. We ate in the restaurant twice for dinner and the food was delicious and always well presented. The man and wife looking after Refugio were friendly and very helpful. The hotel was very clean and comfortable.

A very nice stay in a charming house that offers a stunning view on the Pico de Europa national park. The owners are very friendly and great cooks! We particularly appreciated the B&B not only offers a refined breakfast, but also a diversified menu in the evening and tasty sandwiches to go during the day!

Everything. A wonderful location with an amazing view. The property is superb and the accommodation is fab. The hosts are super friendly and couldn't do enough to make your stay as good as it could be. The building, rooms, furnishings, pool and grounds are all in superb condition and mega clean. We ate in their restaurant both nights and the food was top notch. The breakfast was amazing: Freshly squeezed orange juice, tea, coffee, fresh fruit, yogurt and pastries plus a huge selection of other items freshly cooked for you. We stayed in the top floor room which has a wall of windows overlooking the pool and mountains. We will be back.

This place was absolutely outstanding. It is located in a lovely small village about 20 minutes drive from the start of the Ruta del Cares walk. The couple who run it couldn't have been more helpful, they made us a delicious breakfast and sandwiches to take on the road. The view from our room was spectacular. I loved our stay, would go back anytime and couldn't recommend it highly enough. Most comfortable bed I have slept in so far in Spain.

“A peaceful and quiet beautiful place.”

Exelent location if you want to do hiking, such as the Cares or Bulnes and culturaly close to Covadonga. If you like quiet and peaceful this is it. The couple/owners of the stablishment are very sweet and helpful. The food is really good, I wouldn't go anywhere else in the area for breakfast or dinner. Highly recommend it.
