Overview
Surrounded by pine trees and greenery, Ortal is a large, tranquil kibbutz in the Golan Heights. It offers both stylish rooms, and luxury wooden chalets with hot tub and free WiFi. The Ortal's rooms are furnished in soft colours and all come with Yes satellite TV, air conditioning and a small fridge. Breakfast is served in the dining room of the kibbutz. The individual Scandinavian style chalets are situated at the edge of the park. They feature an extra large flat-screen TV, a DVD player and a fully equipped kitchen. Guests at the Ortal can make use of the playgrounds, as well as the many barbecue and picnic areas. There is also a small supermarket.

Great place to stay for a couple of nights. Convenient for hiking, traveling around the Golan. Breakfast was good. Plenty of food, fresh and nicely presented. Hangout area outside the room was perfect. good shade from trees a lot of the day.

“Great one night stay”
We didn't take the most fancy room but it felt very new and clean. Excellent bed, little kitchenette. Very fair price. The kibbutz is very nice with plenty of green and great calming atmosphere.

We like the place, the atmosphere, the staff, the breakfast, the location. The room was very comfortable, the place is very spacious, green and quiet. Recommended as a starting point for attractions and hikes. Good value for money.

Breakfast was nice, as was the room. Everything of course, in relation to price. This is not a luxury place, but it is in a beautiful location, the staff are friendly, and the rooms newly renovated.

Breakfast was excellent! The location is wonderful for exploring the Golan area. Very friendly and helpful staff. They replaced a torn screen immediately! They provided us with a hair dryer upon request,

“Quiet peaceful retreat”
This is a quiet place to stay up in the Golan Heights. The breakfast was very nice. It is in the dining hall of the kibbutz and offers a variety of food. The vineyard on the premises of the kibbutz was wonderful. Good wine and cheese/nibbles to go along with the wine. Super friendly and helpful staff at the vineyard. Stayed in the cabins/chalets and there was a lovely little deck, hot tub, and good airco and tv.
