“Great location to stop from San Jose to Monteverde”
We chose this place en-route from San Jose airport to Monteverde, to stop before dark. It is an average town with sufficient shops for a night stay, but surely a good choice if want a short break. The host is kind and helpful. We stayed a well ventilated room with four bedrooms.

“Very nice place with wonderful host”
We enjoyed our stay at Philippe and stayed here even twice on our Trip in Costa Rica. The appartment is very comfortable, clean and tje outdoor Kitchen with little garden and pool are perfect. Philippe and his son are very nice hosts. Our sons got a Ball given and keep it still. Thank you we will come back.

Everything was great! Philippe was very kind and accommodating, giving us loads of tips for the rest of our vacation in Costa Rica. The room was great and the property is very welcoming with a cute little pool and garden. Would definitely recommend!

Really cordial hospitality from Philippe and his son. Philippe advised me with the best route to take to Bajos del Toro. Mountain roads are very winding and steep so he advised me with the best route to take.

Philippe was lovely, and his son was great too. We had a great conversation with them. They offered fruit and coffee for complimentary breakfast which was great. There's a really good local food stand area just 1 minute away for dinner - everyone there was really friendly and the food was good too. Our room was fairly basic but clean and tidy. Parking was off the street.

“A must visit place”
Staff great. Everything within walking distance. Not far from San Jose international airport and we were given a much better route by the owner avoiding tolls and with views to die for. Probably added about 10 mins to journey but was so worth it. Such a lovely family. We were given a lovely avocado and pineapple breakfast even though it wasn’t included.

The host was so nice and welcoming. He made us free breakfast in the morning and gave us a lot of tips for our upcoming trip. He drove us to the atm in town and showed us the little farmers market. We really enjoyed his company.

“Pleasant stay in Orotina”
Philippe was very welcoming and friendly and gave us plenty of advice for the start of our trip. Room was large and comfortable. Kitchen available although we stay very shortly so we did not use it. Late check-in can be difficult. Close to Carara national parc.
