“Beautiful experience in the Orosi hills with views of the volcanos”

What can I say, absolutely beautiful, restful, welcoming homely place, surrounded by nature like a big hug.The hosts were amazing and so knowledgeable about the Finca, the whole of Costa Rica, the conservation that they do(they have their own YouTube channel) and what they do for the sustainability of their farm and land. As well as this the attention to the comfort of guests was fantastic 👌 . We had a fantastic horse ride, a great walking/exploring trail and breath taking views of the volcano, amazing 👏 Now we come to the breakfasts and dinners...home cooked, 4 course traditional meals that were out of this world! Some of the very best food we have eaten in Costa Rica in our month stay here. Thankyou so much. It was like a recouping holiday within a holiday. X

Breakfast was delicious, everything was homemade and from their farm. Dinner was also delicious.

Gizel the owner is a unige person.We took the half board and enjoyed every bite.Gizel is a real Chef.Each dish is a master piece. It is best place for relaxing, hiking in the jungle and panoramic view from the hotel.

Unique location, old house with a rich family history of the host and her brother, cute dog, yummy dinner and breakfast which is included, rooms really cozy and common room as well. Around the house are some trails which you can hike and many animals to see.

The hostess was excellent! It was a genuine finca experience with rustic charm. The food was cooked and lovely my wife really enjoyed the horse riding trip. The panoramic views from the lounge bedrooms which were just stunning.

As only 2 rooms are offered, we are really few guests at the same time. As a consequence the host offers a great flexibility in their services. That is definitely a plus! Location is also great as quiet and surrounded by nature.

“Tranquil farm stay with excellent food”

Quiet, beautiful view, clean, excellent food, comfortable bed and sofa. The hosts were amazing, happy to chat or leave you in peace. Food was plentiful and can be modified to your preferences. You can ask for coffee, ice cream, fruits, and even freshly caught fish from their river fish pen. The whole place was very quiet and excellent for bird watching. Bookshelves full of books including animal guidebooks and lots of shared space to lounge in, read and chat. WiFi was strong in both the public area and the room. We did horse back riding in the rain and it was so tranquil. The chickens surprisingly don’t make much sound at dawn. The cows live about twenty minutes walk uphill.

“Great hospitality!”

The hospitality from Gisella & brother Roger were excellent. This is a 100 year old small family run cattle Finca with just three rooms. Gisella catered for our vegetarian diet extremely well and served up lovely meals at both breakfast & dinner. Note there is a track leading up to the property which is better suited for a 4 wheel drive vehicle. The views were amazing!

We loved our stay. It was only a two night stop over but we would have stayed longer. such a beautiful area, the views are to die for. Watching the birds from the window was magical. The food was delicious and we were made to feel right at home. The most beautifully well cared for horses which we loved riding.

Our stay was amazing! The views are incredible and the food was exceptional. Beautifully cooked meals for both dinner and breakfast with the freshest ingredients. Our hosts were super knowledgeable and helpful. We did a horse riding trek from the Finca which was really good fun.

“Relaxed stay with wonderful hosts”

Our host were great, very helpful and tried to respond to our requests and went the extra mile. They prepared lunch for us, even though it was not included, and let the kids ride the horses back to their barn, so the kids were very excited. The hotel is small (3 rooms) and our family occupied them all, so we had a nice private stay. Views are beautiful.

This is a true jewel. It offers not only beautiful surroundings and well-cooked, well-thought-out food, but also a treasure trove of knowledge about Costa Rican wildlife. One of those rare places you'll never forget.

We had a very restful time here after a hectic few weeks travelling. The accommodation itself is beautiful and the view from the lounge to the volcanoes is stunning. Gisella cooks the most wonderful meals too. We enjoyed doing the horse ride to the upper part of the property one morning. More great views. It really was quite a treat staying here. Highly recommend.
