Location was perfect, as it is right on the route of the Camino del Norte. Staff were all welcoming, kind and cheerful. Lovely family atmosphere. Food was excellent. Delightful 'rustic' feel to the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay in the well run Posada Caborredondo. Breakfast was excellent and it was a surprise when we were offered the option of an evening meal which we did not realise was available and which was also very nice. All home cooked. All in all a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Good location for visiting Comillas and Santillana.

“perfect rural stay”

This rural hotel is everything you want in a rural hotel. Peace and tranquility, comfort, friendliness, and an option to eat with them as a bonus. It is located very near to the major sights of the area but tucked away from the hussle and bussle. The breakfast was made to order with fresh ingredients. We opted to stay in for dinner both evenings and the menu was simple but also made with the freshest of ingredients and served with love. Our room was on the small side but cozy and comfortable. Thank you for your hospitality!!

“Outstanding posada in a quiet area with super food & rooms and many interesting places to visit”

Lovely house with lots of parking in a quiet location. The Owner, Begona, is charming and very helpful and speaks good English. The posada is spacious with a large lounge and beautiful gardens. We have stayed here before but now Begona has introduced the option of dinner which is a fantastic asset. We had a superb tuna and anchovy salad with local anchovies and it was beautifully prepared and delicious ( far , far better than the one we had in the Parador at Jaen!). Lovely deserts and wine/ beer, all at a very reasonable price. She also does afternoon tea (12 varieties!) and cakes! Comfortable rooms with heating and upmarket toiletries. Their own filtered water is provided in the rooms. Highly recommended for a stay of a few days to visit the area - super coastline, world famous caves of Altamira, beautiful local villages and towns. Only about half an hour from Santander. Highly recommended.

Terrific spacious accommodation with lovely gardens and a very caring owner. Immaculately clean with excellent shower and comfortable bed. Living room downstairs and garden seating. Good parking and only 5 minutes walk to excellent very inexpensive local restaurant. Extremely convenient for catching the ferry at Santander or for staying a few days and exploring. Beautiful countryside and beaches close eg Comillas and Santillana del Mar

Very helpful staff who drove us to a nearby village when a taxi was unavailable. Beautiful location and lovely breakfast. Very lively shower!
