“Really good place to stay on Statia”

Papaya Inn looks better in reality than it does on the photos. Lovely interior garden. The rooms are spacious, and has adequate kitchen facilities. The staff is very helpful, and helped met to rent a car when I was on the island.

Warm welcome, nice and quiet location. They helped me renting a car as I did not arrange this on beforehand. After an issue with my room on the last night, the owner immediately offered me to switch to another room. So excellent service!

I like the environment I was in. A lot of trees and green surrounding the place. It was also calm and relaxing. The location was walking distance to the airport and other parts of Statia.

The gardens were beautiful and we spent most afternoons sitting in the outdoor lounge. Rooms were a good size and comfortable. Included breakfast offered a good variety.

The quietness. It was so peaceful. The host was extremely friendly and breakfast was great. I felt like I was at home.

The breakfast was good. The location is about 7 min walk away from the airport. It is nice and quiet, beautifully set with plants around the outside seating area. Clean and tidy.

A lovely guest house with the most amazing garden. We spent a week here and loved sitting in the garden to relax and read and listen to the sounds of nature around us. The owner was very welcoming and helpful and attended to an issue with the wifi very quickly.

Marie, the hostess and proprietor is absolutely amazing. This is a first rate B & B and we would certainly stay there again. The room is large and spotlessly clean as is the bathroom. The Inn is set amidst a tropical garden tended with loving care. We had an early dive booked on our first day and since with would not be able to take advantage of the included breakfast (amazing buffet by the way!) Marie prepared us coffee and sandwiches to take with us. If Statia is your destination then Papaya Inn is for you.

The property was well kept and the rooms were very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and makes sure that your stay is good.

The breakfast was simple, but very tasty. It reminded me of homecooked breakfast, because there were new choices every day. On our jokingly request for a fried rice for breakfast, the staff actually went through with it the next morning.

Great value for Statia. Extremely helpful manager and staff. Breakfast included. $10 pick up from the port. Super comfortable bed. Spacious room. Sufficient power points to charge two devices. Refrigerator and kettle. Nothing to fault. Also arranged well priced hire car.
