“Beautiful garde, spacious and beautiful view”

The garden of the resort is extremely beautiful. The resort is well maintained and specious and the restaurant was a good choice with a friendly crew and a beautiful view. We were at a low season in the Golden Rock. We had booked a cottage, but due to maintenance They were not available. We were then booked in a normal room Which we did not like at all. Then the management kindly offered is a villa appartement. Although it did not have a private ‘garden’ it was a very convenient replacement.

Beautiful location and very friendly staff overall. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Both restaurants serve excellent food, super fresh. They grow their own vegatables :-) Of course some me things can be improved as stated below. These are minor things though, but when they aim to be a luxury resort with luxury rates, the(se) details matter.

At the front desk should have airconditioning for the employees. It’s not a nice temperature for them to work in that heat. Really very disappointed about that. Please treat your employee with respect by providing them with an airco at the front desk!!

“You’re in a Caribbean paradise! (Shout out to Victor!)”

We were very well assisted so very gracefully and kind ( with good humour) by the host at the reception, Victor. He made us feel very welcome and put in all his efforts to make our stay even more pleasurable. The location of the resort is somewhat away from town , but you have to come here to really lelax and wind down and enjoy the scenery ( ocean views everywhere). The condo was luxurious and immediate makes you want to chill. The breeze restaurant is very good, breakfast very nice. From here you can visit by car ( arranged by Victor!! ) every spot on Statia. Thank you Victor!

“Fabulous! The ONLY place to stay on Statia!”

This resort is absolutely stunning. Staff (Alfred and Victor) were fabulously helpful especially when we needed to make some last minute room changes. Very helpful Whatsapp comms before arrival. Excellent recommendations for the island tour although we would have been happy to spend all our time at this beautiful resort! Cannot say enough positive things about the staff, location and facilities of Golden Rock. thank you Alfred and Victor for making us feel SO welcome. We hope to be back next year :)

“A truly amazing resort which feels like a boutique hotel”

The location and how the resort has grown and flourished is just amazing. The lushy gardens, the setting of the restaurant, the cottage i slept in with a wonderful view over the ocean. The bed was super good. The attendants were kind and helpful. The owner came to check which gave a personal touch to staying in (what still is) a big resort. The resort was calm (maybe because of low season) but I enjoyed that a lot. The second pool is beautiful with an amazing view on the Quill.

Everything. The gym, the staff, the facilities, food, professionalism. The rooms are beautiful.

“Amazing”

It is a very nice resort with amazing gardens and views all around the resort. The pool next to the restaurant was really nice (the second pool not so much, and the poolbar at the second pool was closed). It is a large resort; we stayed one week in a 2 bedroom villa which was quite a walk to the pool and the restaurants, but because of the beautiful plants, flowers, music from the speakers etc, this was not a problem. And if needed, there is a little train available. The villa was nicely decorated, with all amenities you need, and very good beds and pillows. Front desk arranged dinner reservations, free shuttle from the airport, car rental, etc. Both restaurants were very good. Breakfast was included, and is a very nice a la carte with as much coffee and juice as you like; we even got complementary smoothies.

First, when you arrive at the resort, the 1st thing you feel is tranquillity. The great smile of the staff is one of the major points of this hotel. The resort is huge, a Eden garden full of plants, flowers. Amazing and wonderful. The 160° ocean view is breathtaking. There are two swimming pools. The 1st one near Breeze restaurant is beautiful. The suites are very nice. The bedding is good. Large TV. Nice bathroom with separate toilets. The hotel has an amzing land to walk. There's a playground for the children. This is a really beautiful place to stay.
