Just around the corner from Oppdal Train Station, this hotel dates back to 1924. It offers free parking and rooms with free WiFi and a private bathroom. Oppdal Ski Centre is a 10-minute walk away. All rooms at Oppdal Turisthotell have a work desk. Bathrooms come with a shower or bathtub. Bicycles and and canoes can be rented on site. Guests have access to a terrace and a common TV lounge area. Popular activities include white water rafting and muskox safaris in Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella National Park, which is a 20-minute drive away. Almannberget Mountain is even closer and is ideal for hikers.

“Perfect stopover for train travellers”
A traditional tourist hotel, conveniently located right by the railway platform. Everything is a little dated, but in decent condition. Good, extensive breakfast. As a railfan, I enjoyed the view from the room to the railway line.

“Good place for an overnight stay”
A very friendly welcome is a good start of a comfortabel stay. Room with a view on the mountains, free parking and effortless rolling one's suitcases form one's car to one's room and back. The place is in need of some renovation, yet its is clean. The breakfast is reasonable. The adjacent restaurant is a must try.

“A w2onderful old hotel.”
Restaurant Perrongen was a highlight for us as the menu was serving local foods. Together with excellent wines, and friendly wait staff, we had a wonderful evening.Breakfast was a typical hotel buffet with some Norwegian style dishes. The room was comfortable with hot shower and comfy bed. There isn’t much happening in Oppdal in September as it is between seasons. We missed out on the musk ox and reindeer.
