“Quiet and mellow”
I booked the slightly more expense dorm and ended up being the only person staying there. So u had a room with 4 bunks all to myself for the night which was really nice. The beds are really well designed and private even if there were people. The little nook underneath was good for storing everything and chilling out. I was a little tired so I would call it a positive that the bar under the dorms didn’t open while I stayed there.

Everything was pretty straightforward, nothing to complain. Pretty basic. The beds are a bit annoying to get on as they're all very tall, the stairs are small and the room is narrow. Other than that, it's ok.

“Really nice place to stay in Onomichi”
We had the double, corner room. Cool design, good beds, nice bathroom (though small). No staff present, but easy to reach via Booking’s messaging. Nice adjacent bar by the entrance and generally a good area of Onomichi.

“A perfect accomodation for a 1-night stay before heading to cycling the islands.”
The beds were super-comfortable, providing sufficient privacy and the bedroom had a really pleasant atmosphere, it was clean and smelled nice. The check-in is quick and easy.

Great place to stay if you wamt to bile the Shimanami Kaido. It is aprox. 20 minutes from the bike rental at the station, but you can use it as a little warm up.

Not central enough and two flights of very steep and narrow stairs for carrying heavy luggage. Entering accommodation robotic, too impersonal. The bar itself was attractive but staff unfriendly.

“Great facilities but no staff”
Overall the stay was good, the bed was fine and there was everything you might need. In a perfect location too for seeing everything in Onomichi. Annoyingly though it was completely self service so I didn’t meet someone who worked there once. Fine if you don’t need help with anything but we wanted to see if we could keep our luggage there after checkout and there was no one to ask and no one replied to messages I sent so we ended up paying to store at a local post office.
