Overview
Ryokan Urashima offers simple Japanese-style accommodations and a refreshing indoor public hot-spring bath. Free Wi-Fi is available at the entire property and guests can wear the provided Japanese Yukata robes. JR Shinonomichi Train Station is a 10-minute drive away. Some rooms come with an en suite bathroom, while others share bathrooms and toilets. A private reservable hot-spring bath is available and a coin-launderette is on-site. Complimentary coffee is served at the lobby and photocopying services are offered at the front desk. Urashima Ryokan is a 20-minute drive from Senko-ji Temple and Mukojima Island. Fukushima Castle is a 35-minute drive away. No meals are served.

“Lovely place, wonderful staff, lovely sound of a little river running below the window”
Staff really friendly especially when making a decent effort to communicate in Japanese (but then, learning some of the language before travelling is just the polite thing to do and it does get appreciated), really helpful, and yes, it was very clean. A good introduction to one's first Ryokan. Also there were house Martin nests under the eaves of the reception building, which was lovely to see - shame we weren't there at the time of year when the birds were active.
