“A really special stay… Incredible views from a calm and homely house up the hill, amongst the cats and temples.”
Beautiful little house with amazing views overlooking the town and sea. Everything was homely, comfortable and clean, lots of space and amazing big windows to enjoy the panoramic views and peaceful environment. Overall there’s just a special atmosphere here, staying up the hill amongst the temples and quiet streets with only the sound of birds and the trains and ferries in the distance… absolutely loved it!

Everything was amazing! The view is truly spectacular—whether it’s morning, afternoon, or night. The place is very comfortable and feels private. It’s true that climbing the stairs can be a bit tiring, but it’s absolutely worth it. The location is perfect; everything we needed was close by, and you can really tell how much care and attention the owners put into the house.

“The owner needs to rethink the key arrangement and buy some more bedding.”
The keys were in a lock box 20 minutes walk from the accommodation, down 200 steps. The door was very difficult to unlock. The doonas were too small, maybe for a kids bed. The second "bedroom" was really the entrance hall, with the only toilet and the front door coming off it.

“Well worth all the steps !!!”
Beautiful apartment with fabulous views . A real treat to stay there . Take the owners advice seriously about lots of steps up !!! Definitely we were happy to have backpacks and leaving our main luggage in lockers. We would have loved to have more than one night here had it been available .

“Pleasant stay in Onomichi.”
Despite a steady climb up, the property was beautifully positioned above the harbour with views across to Shikoku. Spacious with kitchen, bathroom and separate toilet. Some lovely interior decoration.

Nice big apartment with a great view over onomichi. Owner provides shower products and bottles of water, which was very appreciated. There is a big bedroom with two comfortable beds and futons.

We met the owner at the Thai restaurant in town and we also had a meal there too. She was very welcoming and the food was amazing! The property is at the top of quite a few stairs and we were travelling around Japan so we left our luggage in the train station and that made the stairs much easier. The property was clean and well kept and the views from the bedroom were fantastic!
