Loved the view both from inside and out on the balcony. Owners son helped us with one suitcase up the stairs when we were in need of help Kitchen was well stocked with utensils The living room lounge was so relaxing just to sit back and enjoy the view Friendly cleaning lady we met as we left the property

“Great views over Onomichi- worth the climb!”
We visited this accomodation 20 years ago with our sons ( just for one night) and decided to rebook for 2 nights as we loved the views over the harbour. There is good space and enough kitchen equipment to make a meal. Washing machine is handy!

“Nice view”
We are a group of 5 friends. Cons: The property had 1 Japanese style bathroom, 1 toilet, and 1 bedroom, which doesn't fit all 5 of us. The futon mattresses provided were very thin, which made sleeping on the tatami floor very uncomfortable. Beware of the steep climb to the property from the train station. Not too much of a problem with small luggage or backpack. However, a few of our groups had mid-size luggage, which made the hike up very difficult. Details were provided to take taxis to the hotel above the property and walk down. However, that was lost in translation with our taxis driver. There is no salt/pepper/cooking oil provided in the kitchen. Pros: The property has a great view. It's very clean. The kitchen is adequate for cooking simple meals. Summary: In our opinion, it's probably more suitable for a couple or small family.

“Amazing sunrise from the terrace and awesome views to the harbor in Onomichi!”
This house is huge!! And has the best veiews in town, in the middle of a very quiet and green nieghbourhood. You can watch a perfect sunrise from the terrace! In our case, we just spent 1 night, which was too little. I reccommend this place for longer stays (for a short stay, the effort of going up and down the hill with luggage is too much). If traveling with luggage, definitely take the taxi to the nearby Onomichi View hotel and walk down from there. The host (I forgot his name) is very, very friendly!
