“Beautiful Old Fashioned Stay”

Our stay at The Bird House was truly memorable, and my family and I personally loved it. The location is beautiful, and the property has a charming old-world, heritage feel that makes it unique. It’s perfect for those who appreciate character and nature. That said, if you’re looking for a very modern stay with flawless amenities, this may not be the right fit, as there are a few hiccups that need to be fixed urgently. And also wish if the Alex, the host, was incredibly warm and welcoming, which made our experience even more enjoyable. I do hope the property gets a bit of attention and restoration, as it has so much potential to be absolutely exceptional. One thing I felt could really improve the first impression is the front lawn and entrance area, which seemed a bit neglected. With some care, the gateway to this bird paradise could truly reflect the beauty of what’s inside. Being surrounded by birds and possums added to the peaceful, nature-filled experience—we really had a lovely time.

The house was well renovated , very comfy, perfect to relax and with everything needed. Great location surrounded by a beautiful forest. The host Alex and his son makes our stay enjoyable, and were very flexible when we checked out. We definitely recommend this unique bird house!

“Wonderful, cosy and at home”

This house is the dream for nature lovers. Surrounded by old trees, you can hear and watch the birds all around the house, and the very friendly owner helped us identify them, showed us the cute possum leaving in the backyard, and also gave us very good advices to go around Port Stephen’s. The house is spacious, decorated with very personal items, that makes it warm and welcoming. The location is ideal for hikers to reach 2 beaches nearby and walk along the coast, where we were lucky to see many whales, a sea lion and flocks of dolphins. All our family keeps a very unique memory of this place.

The Bird House is a beautifully peaceful property, nestled amongst Tomaree National Park. It has all amenities needed for a great stay and is a fantastic base to explore Port Stephens. Alex has thought of everything and was very attentive, taking time to show us around the property and how to use everything. It’s a very quirky home, decorated beautifully with great facilities, including coffee machine, games, bug spray, comfy beds and fantastic showers. And a very cute possum family!

Alex was there and was so kind and helpful to show us around. The house has everything we need for our stay and watching the birds during the morning and afternoon was beautiful. it is a beautiful house with everything you need.
