“Small character cottage in pedestrian hillside village - basic but clean and comfortable.”
The location was great, and the cottage basic but spacious and clean, and it had character. I think that it would be cool in summer. There was aircon in the bedroom for the hotter months. There was a spacious sheltered sunny private seating area outside with a shaded area. The owner answered the phone immediately, spoke excellent English (thank you!) was friendly, welcoming and responsive to the queries that we had. He also has a wine house museum, and showed us around that when we visited. We loved the fact that we left the car in a car park and the main part of the village was pedestrian only. It was an easy walk from the car park to the accommodation. It was a great base for visiting the Troodos mountains for walking, and we also did a local walk out from the village to a vineyard (which was unfortunately closed!). The monastery is worth a visit. Thank you for being a great host!
