“Excellent!”

What a find! We were greeted in person and shown everything from how use the appliances to how the laundry operates to restaurants in the area. How refreshing to not be greeted by a lock box! The guesthouse was spotlessly clean and well equipped. We had everything we needed. This is a traditional Japanese house and we relished the experience. The guesthouse is centrally located around restaurants and eateries. However, the kitchen is large and preparing simple meals was possible. The host was quick to respond to texts and queries.

A good alternative to staying in hotel. If you are driving, the free parking lot is just 1 min walk away. Overall a good experience in staying an old traditional Japanese house. The host is exceptionally friendly and responded to questions readily

The host was lovely and met us there earlier than check in to explain everything. There was a hand drawn map with intricate details on where to go, what they did and opening hours. The house was old but modern. The little bakery next door.

The guesthouse location is near the river. We live in the sightseeing area. The facility is good.

“Beatiful traditional townhouse(Machiya) in the heart of Omihachiman”

The house was recently renovated and it is in great shape. The location is great, near all the things that you want to visit when in town. Staff was very kind and welcoming, even providing a map with suggested places to visit and eat.

Wonderful old-style japanese house with small garden. Very clean and comfortable. Really friendly host who pick us up from the station.

“Best place to stay to explore Omihachiman”

The house has everything that we wanted and is well placed to explore the old town area of omihachiman. It is well heated, and the beds are comfortable. The views would be amazing once the cherry blossom starts blooming. We were picked up at the station and dropped off during check out. The place is too big for just 2 people, but it never felt empty even when there's only two of us.

“Beautiful House”

It's a very cosy place to stay. We drove here and parking is available for 1 car. All the facilities are adequate, kitchen, living and sleeping rooms are big for family of 4. Location is very quiet and walking distance to nearby attractions. Happy to return if i have chance.

The location was within walking distance of all the point of interest. There is a parking lot which make it very easy if you drive.

“Part of old Japan”

Very traditional Japanese house, 130 years old. Neat division of rooms and functions. Kitchen designed for simple preparation of food with a micro-wave and electric hob. Quite magical to wake up in the morning on low, padded futon, beds with view outside into the house's own garden.

2nd level was not furnished. Quite a waste to 0ut 3 of us downstairs. Feel space constraints. House at corner of road. Sign board not visible to locate.

The host is very nice...he made a the booklet and recommendation for where to go.. House is near to attraction.. Great facilities and spacious (even with sofa and have separate dining area and living room) 2nd floor has a nice view to the river
