Very friendly, helpful host. Good communication about checking in. Self-service breakfast in the room (ham, cheese, biscuits, jam etc.), fridge and kettle.

I was pleasantly surprised that it was more like my own little apartment than a room in a B&B. You have your own entrance gate, outdoor stairs, tiny terrace in the shade with space for two chairs and a small drying rack. The room is spacious and nicely decorated in warm colours, with seating area and a narrow window table overlooking the street to one of the piazzas. Bathroom is in the entrance area, with piping hot water and good, spacious shower. Breakfast is prepacked, with cheese and ham in the fridge, lots of mineral water and heaps of snacks. Fresh bread and pastries are easily available from an early hour just round the corner, if you want more. The coffee machine is great with lots of flavours. All this for an extremely reasonable price and the kindest and discrete hostess you could imagine. Francesca is always available on whatsapp or phone, but leaves you to do your own thing. The Porta Romana is really part of the remnants of an old roman wall. It's right in the heart of Omegna with a view towards the nearby mountains and a few hundred meters to the lake, even closer to the river.

Small room very close to the city center. Very clean and very accomodating reception. The room is equipped with a small refrigerator. Breakfast is available in the room.
