Great location and lovely host Marina who cooked beautiful meals.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for three nights and it was amazing! The apartment was clean, quiet and we found everything we needed. The location of the apartment is perfect with a breathtaking view over the valley. If this is not enough, you can get to all the best view points within a 5 minutes walk. The traditional taverna is right next to the apartment and the food is very good and cheap. Marina, the host, treated us as friends, we really felt at home!

“Lovely stay with a great view”

For those who want to stay in the most beautiful village of Karpathos and enjoy hiking from there. For those looking for something different. The accommodation is located at the beginning of the village, not far from the parking area for cars and buses. Its exact location wasn’t very well indicated on Booking.com. From the parking lot at the beginning of the village, follow the main street to the Taverna of Anna Michael & Marina Lentaki, located on the right side of the street. Look for the sign Taberna Olympos en the names of Anna and Marina (in Greek). This taverna has two rooms available for overnight stays. These are located below the restaurant and offer a splendid view. The rooms are neat and you sleep in an authentic Karpathos bed. See the other photo. From in my bed I could see the sunrise. The rooms also have a small (narrow) bathroom with a shower and toilet. There’s also a table and two tiny benches. The shower is large enough, and the shower head can be mounted higher. No great luxury, but everything you need is there. You can have breakfast in the taverna. They simply ask you what you'd like to eat. Hot meals are also available in this taverna at lunchtime and in the evening. The food is delicious. The ladies are exceptionally friendly and speak English! Those looking for much luxury will stay in Pigadia, Diafani, or elsewhere and only visit Olympos during the day. On certain days between 10 am and 3 pm, Olympos is packed with tourists. Group tours also visit this unique village. Earlier and later in the day, you'll have the village to yourself (and to the few others seeking authenticity). In Diafana, they tried to persuade me to only visit Olympos during the day and return in the evening. Fortunately, I didn’t do that. Spending the night in Olympos is highly recommended. Anyone who only sees the village between 10 am and 3 pm might be able to take some nice photos, but they won't be overwhelmed by its special character.

Perfect location if you want to immerse in Olympos atmosphere. Beautiful Karpathian style apartment. And if you want delicious food, go upstairs to the taverna. It is like to be part of a local family.

I liked everything!

Very traditional place in the heart of Olympus . Marina and her familly are such a nice and carefull people, they took care you feel like home. The room has an amazing view over the Mountains. I also ate at the Restaurant upstairs as Everything is Home Made. I had a very nice stay and i would like to come back again. Thank you Marina for your hospitality

“Perfect place to stay in Olympos”

Great location with amazing views. Close to where cars are parked. No signs as such but just asked people and easy to find. So lovely lying in bed seeing the sun rise in front of you. No aircon but fan was more than sufficient. Such friendly people, with restaurant upstairs serving delicious food. I wish I had stayed longer and will definitely come back and stay here.

Place is absolutely amazing. Everyone staying in Karpathos, should come to see Olympos and even more to stay there for the night. There is a really special atmosphere at night in Olympos. Village was so quiet. Accomodation is like an old traditional karpathian house , it looks amazing. I slept very well listening only cats/ donkeys. It's like travelling in the past. Very relaxing. Marina and her family are so friendly. They made me feel at home. Also their food was amazing. Meanwhile at the balcony-terrace you can see them cooking your meal and you enjoy the view on the valley. If one day I come back to Karpathos/ Olympos, I will try to stay here again. This is pure Greece. If you want to experience something very traditional this accommodation is a right choice. Location is in the centre of Olympos and the host Maria is just wonderful and most helpful.
