“Superb place close to the archeological site”

We had the suite on the top floor, and it was one of the most amazing experiences. We had a terrace to ourselves. The location was fantastic, especially with regards to the sites. And the host Damiano was just the most helpful host you can find. All in all, just a marvelous experience.

“Friendly local vibe”

We liked that this is a smaller guesthouse with the owner very present. Having breakfast provided is very convenient when you are travelling only with a backpack and not carrying food yourself. Also being provided with an electric jug so we could make a hot drink in our room was appreciated. The lady making breakfast was very helpful and generous.q

“Hotel that can be recommended.”

What a great hotel walking distance from all the important Olympia tourist attractions. Free parking in front of the hotel, and a variety of nice restuarants and (curio) shops closeby. Comfortable, luxury and clean room with a nice balcony. Damiano was a fantastic host and was available for any questions and suggestions, or even just to have a nice conversation. Breakfast was good and we enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed Damiano's friendly talkative character, he gave us also useful recommendations for a very good greek restaurant and places where to stay on coast.

Nice,cosy,clean guest house set-up with loads of good taste.Damiano and his staff are perfect hosts who will welcome you,will provide you with loads of precious tips and,most importantly,will make you feel at home.Rooms are large,comfortable,and nicely furnished.Extremely good value for money.

“Over and above”

Great location and Leonidaion the dog made it feel just a little more like home BUT the biggest winner was Damien….we arrived in our rental car that had blown a clutch a few hours before. The minute we got out of the car and explained, Damien was on the phone to the car company. He organised for us to be able to drive it to Kalamata and get it replaced and be back in 3 hours. My husband left and Damien gave me a drink while we sat outside and he calmed my anxiety. He helped me get pur luggage to the room and also gave us his mobile number incase we needed anything else. Thanks for the most amazing customer service we have received in a very long time.

Damiano was so nice with us and recommended preferred time for visit as well as restaurants.

- perfect location for exploring Olympia and the ancient sites, as it is central but quiet (one block from the main street), 10 minutes to the museums - the staff (especially the host Damiano) went out of their way to make us as comfortable as possible with recommendations, offers and free afternoon coffee - the atmosphere was very layer back and communal, without feeling like a hostel (it was still very professional and clean) - very good breakfast with fresh fruit! - parking directly in front, and from there everything was walkable!

People were very helpful and smiley. Location is great for the price. Big room, clean and quiet.

We had an amazing stay at leonidan guesthouse. It is perfectly located to access Olympia (very short and nice walk) and the room while basic, has everything you need for a comfortable stay The real highlight is the owner Damiano - from the warm welcome to his amazing knowledge of Olympia and Greece, he really helped make our experience fantastic. He even took the time and effort to talk through the rest of our trip itinerary with us and give his recommendations which we followed and turned out to be fantastic. Make sure to ask him for advice on any questions you may have or just generally have an engaging conversation! Also make sure to try one of his delicious cocktails which are unique and genuinely in line with what I would expect from a fancy city cocktail bar. His care for the local cats and dogs is a bonus and it was great to interact with someone who is clearly an animal lover.
