“We enjoyed Olmedo despite the challenges getting in.”
Location was great, within an easy walk to the historical town centre. Our accomodation kept lovely and cool even when it was out outside. It was quirky and cute. We enjoyed the shady patio.

This place has character. We enjoyed it a lot. The room was very well designed to maximize the use of space. The double bed folded up to the wall and the kitchen was closed into a cupboard. It is a peaceful place. The staff were setting up for a party and for the summer season while we were there, which we enjoyed watching. It is a short walk into the centre, though most things were shut when we visited (May)

“Rustic and sweet bespoke hotel in the middle of old Castile. Great escape to the Spanish countryside”
Each room is an independent suite with its own patio and table, most with a kitchenette. Each "cava" (wine cave) is named after a kind of grape. Rustic decor with a wood-burning stove in each suite. You can tell that the owner put a lot of love and personal touch to each suite. Great place to go with a group of people or families as they have suites and apartments from two to twelve people each with their own kitchenette and patio. Option to contract meals in the dining room. Very cool place!

“Truly awful”
An awful experience. We booked 2 months in advance and had confirmation. Immediately after the booking we communicated about the extra charge for the dogs. We were required to check in between 4 and 7 pm and arrived at 5.30 to find the place closed, and the phone number that was given out of service. We asked neighbors who had no idea and eventually, an hour later a neighbor returned home who had a number for the owner. We were let into a room and were told the owner would be there in an hour or so. Eventually the owner turned up and asked for our passports, no apology. We were told to stop whining because we were in and it wasn’t the owner’s fault that the phone was out of service because he had changed provider. When we said he should be there for the designated check in time, we were told that he had a lot of businesses to run and didn’t have time to sit around waiting for us to turn up. When we said that was not the way to treat guests he told us to pack our bags and leave. Don’t stay here unless you like to be treated as an inconvenience.
