“Beautiful place in Como”

Right in front the lake with an amazing view from the room. A small balcony but cozy and spacious enough to have a nice dinner or lunch with your partner or friend. Very quiet area which is something we enjoy.

We just returned from an unforgettable week at Residence Matilde in Vassena, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Tucked right on the shores of Lake Como, this renovated apartment complex (fully updated in 2017) feels like a peaceful escape from the world, yet it’s only an 8 km drive to the bustling charm of Bellagio. Vassena itself is a quaint hamlet in Oliveto Lario, perfect for those seeking quiet mornings with coffee overlooking the water and easy access to hikes or ferry rides.

The location was perfect, it was quiet and the local shop and cafe were 100% inviting. We didn't feel like tourists (even though we are lol). Klod was a great host. The views were stunning and we backed right onto the lake. The air-conditioning was perfect. Shower was lush. I could go on.

“Best stay in Lago di Como”

We recently stayed at Residence Matilde and had a wonderfully relaxing experience. The small, quiet town offers a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for unwinding, and it's a great base for exploring Lago di Como, with the ferry stopping right in town. We loved having direct access to the lake and the beautiful garden, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Roberta was incredibly welcoming and attentive, adding a personal touch to our visit. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring restful nights throughout our stay. Highly recommended for a tranquil getaway.

Everything. Very quiet, lovely village, wonderful walks around, private beach, Roberta is very helpful. The kitchen was very well equipped, big fridge, comfy beds, balconies, perfect for families. And dog-friendly. grazie mille!

the view over the lake, the garden, being able to swim in the lake from the house, helpfulness of owner, cleanliness and daily rubbish collection, everything required was provided. it was perfect!

“Fabulous stay with everything we needed and breathtaking views”

Beautifully modern flat with everything you needed for the perfect stay. Roberta had thought of absolutely everything down to every little detail. Spotlessly clean and fresh. We stayed in the ground floor with the most stunning view of the lake. It’s on the quieter side of the lake so the buses and boats are less frequent but we managed to get about easily enough and were glad to escape the crowds and retreat back to the gorgeous view at night or just get a taxi if we wanted to stay later. The boat and bus stops are 2 mins walk away. There’s also a cafe, restaurant and shop with a few mins walk too so everything you need is on your doorstep. Roberta was the most wonderful host, so very friendly and helpful she even ran us into Bellagio one day when she saw us waiting in the bus. I’d absolutely recommend the property and thanks Roberta for making it such a perfect stay.

Everything is showing the care of the host for her guests. Everything you might need is already there 🙂. The location is great….only 10 minutes away from Bellagio by car, in a quiet and peaceful charming village where you can have a very nice breakfast just across the street and with a very frindly restaurant 2 minutes walking distance from the residence.

Beautiful quiet location on lake Como. Vasenna ferry port, bus stop and public car park are all on the doorstep of this property. Beautifully appointed stylish appartment, with excellent facilities and great air conditioning. Our host Roberta was very helpful and able to answer all our queries and give great advice on lake Como and other places we were travelling to. Café, shop, pizza, hotel all withing a short 2 min walk. Boat rental, kayak etc at bottom of garden. Enjoyed are stay very much in this scenic location a beautiful place to dip into lake Como.

I can only confirm all the positive comments. Roberta is a sweetheart, always available, super easy and just lovely. The apartments are new, modern and well decorated. The view, the possibility to have a swim, the nearby boat rental. Everything was perfect. Only thing was, but that is just my personal issue, I have back pain and the mattresses are a bit hard, but totally cosy and nice. Thank you Roberta for being you and this lovely place💕💕🥰🥰🤩🤩🤩
