A lovely hotel. We have stayed here many times as a stop over from the Santander ferry to the Algarve Very comfy rooms, a great Location and polite staff. Nice breakfast

“Nice place, good location, a few issues however.”
This is a beautiful old style hotel with large rooms and beautiful lounges on the second floor. The room was large and the location was quite ideal. There are doing a pretty good job in keeping this old girl running and at one time I could see that it could have been a 4* hotel.

“Classic Spanish palace hotel in a fine border town”
A hotel palacio like this is the very reason to travel in Spain. How else would you get to see such a classic, fabulous building? Magnificent. The receptionist (who was perhaps the owner?) was quick, clear, robust, witty and very efficient. We had a top floor room as requested. Not many other guests but even so, amazingly quiet by Spanish standards. Outside temp when we arrived was 34C but we needed no aircon in the room - they knew how to build in those days. Very close to the fine main square, and a few doors down the Cafeteria Churreria El Paso is open for breakfast if you have to leave early as, alas, we did.

“An incredible hotel a rare find.”
An amazing hotel, classic architecture, huge bedroom, bathroom and entrance hallway more a suite than a simple room. The receptionist was so well dressed and very helpful.
