The family who host this hostel are so lovely and so very helpful, they helped us organise a stay with an eagle hunter family which was incredible. They were also very accomodating and let us stay an extra night when I was sick. It’s super clean and the breakfast is incredible too - highly recommend!

The property is located in a quiet area by the river, a 10-minute walk from the city center and close to the airport. The rooms are modest but very clean, with a shared bathroom. Delicious breakfasts made with local produce. The hosts are very friendly, and the hostess speaks very good English. I recommend this property.

“The best place to stay in Ölgii”
Really clean and Bulbul makes the most amazing breakfast. This is the best breakfast we’ve had in 5 months of travelling. Great value for money. A nice friendly place, very peaceful for a good nights sleep. Secure parking for our motorcycles.

“Very good!”
I stayed this guesthouse and I asked to plan my tour to the owner.The owner planed good tour. The owner was so kind.I had a cold during I stayed.She told me nice drink to health and cooked a soup and other meals for me. This guesthouse is quiet and clean.Bed is clean and big,comfortable.

“Blend in the Kazach culture!”
My stay at Bulbul (the host) was so so nice. it’s very clean and the beds are very comfortable. The location is good, close to the city center and a nice supermarket. But most of all I really like the hospitality. The host speaks good English and makes sure your stay is as nice as possible. The breakfast was great (ask for the Russian pancakes or bread in flower dough.. :) ) I organized a 6 day trip through them and I was so lucky I went on the trip with the husband and the daughter of Bulbul. They made my stay in the region very very special. it felt like a little family on tour. After the trip Back at Ulgii i stayed another two nights and the last evening I had dinner with the whole family and sat for some hours talking about all kinds of stuff in life. I couldn’t imagine a better time in the Bayan-Ulgii

Bulbul is the owner of this hostel, and an extremely nice person. She will make great effort to make your stay pleasurable. Her years as tourist guide makes her very knowledgable. The stay was similar enjoyable as a few years ago, and we'll certainly come back.

“HEAVEN”
Paradise! This place really saved me. Everything is great there, it was BY FAR the best place I stayed at in Mongolia. Great bed, bathroom, super clean and sooo friendly hosts is whatI longed for after my trip in Altai region. They also provide tours with a female guide (the owner). I am so sad I had already booked another private tour with Mongolian Vision Tours (with female guide Orkhon Battomor) which was an absolute horror trip for me because of the aggressive guide. I told my host what had happened during my trip and she was really shocked.I think this place is not only great for staying there but I guess also good if you are looking for a guided tour in Tavan Bogd. Oh and they have a super cute (and well taken care of!) cat. :-)) ❤️ and the breakfast is amazing too.
