“Unforgettable hotel experience”

If you wish to experience beyond what a traditional hotel offers, this is the place for you. After our travel with numerous Hotels, this place stands out, and the reason is not because you have more choices at the breakfast, but you feel you are in a different universe. Like you went back in time and your stay becomes more than just a room. Even though we booked wrongly the hosts arranged everything to meet our needs on the spot.

If you want to sleep in a museum, this is the place to stay. The personnel was very nice. There was home-made bread at breakfast.

Perfect. Extremely nice place near the Jake, great food and great hosts. We did half of bessegen climbing up and then took the trail to the hotel from there. This way we do to see great views but also did not walk up the hard part of bessegen in the rain

It was very interesting to stay in such a historic house. The staff knew a lot about the history of the previous owners, which made it a lot more interesting.

Everything! The room was amazing! Loved every detail. The breakfast was great. The hosts were super helpful and friendly. They also have us a tour of the museum. I felt at home. Would definitely go back again. They also checked in on us after we left the property to see if we were safe from the storm. It was a very caring gesture. Will always remember that.

“A very interesting museum house for a unique experience”

This is a museum not a hotel - that said the environment was delightful. It contains original furniture and fittings, and there are shared bathrooms. We stayed in Anna's room and had lovely views of the valley down to the fjord. The breakfast was delicious and there were plenty of areas to sit during the day and evening in the various sitting rooms and outside. There are facilities to prepare a simple cold meal and make tea and coffee. The views from the breakfast room are exceptional and there are numerous pictures, artefacts and books to read about William and Anna Singer and their legacy. The staff were delightful and we really enjoyed our tour of the house and hearing about the couple from our young, enthusiastic guides.

“Interesting experience!”

It was the house of Mr Singer, an heir to his American businessman father but who wanted to be a painter. We grew to appreciate the house - it’s warm and full of history! The staff is great too.

“A commemorative stay”

A historic old house located in a quiet and magnificent rural mountainous area, walking more than 10 minutes from the bus station. Surrounded by birds singing, fragrant flowers and green lawn. The scenery is picturesque. Breakfast is simple but sufficient, freshly baked bread is very delicious. Friendly staff, took me patiently to visit William's studio, and the house itself is a museum too.

The Singerheim hotel have a very good energy in it. Staff were very nice and friendly and did everything that gave me a wonderful time. I enjoyed it very much. Breakfast was great,especially the homemade bread and the very good Norwegian waffles. Location is good and you get a wonderful view over Olden.

“A night at the museum”

We were warmly welcomed with a short guided tour and an introduction to the history of the house before heading to our room. It was strange at first to imagine staying in a museum for the night, you feel the need to be extra careful and respectful but the experience was unique though it's not everyone's taste. The setting is very pleasant, calm and green, the staff very friendly and the breakfast was excellent with a lovely view and homemade waffles. From the house you can reach the fjord by foot. As it is not easy to find a restaurant nearby (especially if you don't have a car), we had planned ahead an organized a little picnic in front of the fjord. I would recommend the experience but rather for a shorter stay.

Beautiful located guesthouse. We stayed in King Haakon's room which was very spacious with a very nice view. Lots of history at this place. The staff takes good care of the heritage. The shared bathroom was no problem, also because the room itself had a sink. It was all nice and clean. Good breakfast and friendly staff.
