“taxi driver, connected via the guest house, took me to another location!”

I was met at the airport by a guy I had got in contact with via the guest house. This was fine, but he took me to a place that definitely was not the Touray Guest House. It was all a bit weird. Nothing wrong with the room or facilities, but I felt uneasy all night, and the next morning at 8:30 discovered that all the doors and gates were open so I just left. Fortunately I had a pretty good idea of where the nearest road was, and was roadside in about 15 mins. I am an experienced traveller and coped with it, but don't think anyone should be put through something like this!

The owner is nice and friendly. The place is secured and it is very close to the airport and accesible.

“Thank you the lady manager of the hotel in the middle of nowhere”

I will never forget the lady managing the hotel. I was between previous hotel check-out and a night flight so needed a cheap place to rest and wait. As I was not feeling well due to activities of the day before, I asked the lady manager to buy some food for me. Due to the hotel's location I got no idea to buy anything anywhere at all. But she did it wonderfully for me. She did ask me for a fee: 10 Gambian Dalasi which is about US 15 cents. It was a bit heartbreaking really. I made sure I honored her help beyond 15 cents. She said I'm a good man and she would like me to visit the Gambia again, to which I'd so much like to say yes. The hotel is highly value for money, if not for location reasons.

Thank you for your fantastic hospitality and I'm very happy to be spending the night in this lovely apartment. It's very well located near the highway and very close to Banjul International Airport, and the staff is very friendly! I can't wait to see this great place again in December. Sincerely, Kebba

“Decent option for early morning flights”

Comfortable room near the airport. The staff were friendly helpful and polite. It's a shame that there was no WiFi and it was rather difficult to find with no signage. It was nice to have coffee making facilities.

Nice room, it is more like a room inside of a private family house, than like a guest house. Friendly people. Very clean and well maintained.

Very charming staff who flexibly accommodated our needs. Free coffee and kettel for use in the common area. Good value for money and nice local neighbourhood, which is a just a stone's throw from the airport.

Location very convenient for the airport (i walked there from it!) and apart from what I paid l being a tiny bit higher than the price quoted - something about city tax, plus booking.com seems to add taxes and fees onto the quoted price despite using the word 'included'. That is down to booking.com and not unique to Touray.

“Affordable stay close to the aiport”

It's was a room in half-finished building where the local family lives as well. The place is pretty basic but very cheap and the only reason to stay here is proximity to the airport, especially for early departures to save you from long drive and unexpected traffic. my flight was at 6:50 so I could leave after 5am and in 30 min you are at the airport for about 5eur taxi ride. There's a kettle you can use and a bottle of water on arrival was a welcome gift.
