We stayed as a family of 4 (2 teenage boys) in rooms 9 and 10 which were the furthest away from the dining room and water hole. This was not a problem for us. As the lodge is in the middle of the reserve and unfenced you are escorted back to your room after dinner. We felt very safe. The dining area over looking the water hole and being able to watch and hear animals at the water hole in the hide were probably our highlights. Brunch was fantastic! The rooms were comfortable and spacious with lovely indoor and outside showers and a nice terrace.

“Truly 5-Star Accommodation next to Etosha.”

Everything is perfect except it is very expensive. Really a 5-star accommodation in any perspective. Regarding animal sighting, we saw an elephant in distant when we were having our lunch. There is also a waterhole that you can view from restaurants or walk very close. Higher chance seeing rarer animals like lions and Kudu.

“Not worth the price”

We have been to many upmarket safari lodges in Southern and Eastern Africa. Ongava is fine but not worth the rate charged. Dinner was mediocre, the game drive vehicle old and we were given instant coffee on the morning game drive. The whole experience was a big disappointment. At this rate we expected the same level of excellence as similarly priced luxury lodges

Friendly staff, lodge with a beautiful view on the park, spacious and nice room. Food was good.

Great location with own private resort where the guides will also take the smaller bush roads instead of official Ethosa resort whwere yoy have to stay on the main roads. Friendly staff with delicious food.

The view with the waterhole is amazing. The game drive inside the lodge is nice. In particular you can walk close to Rhinos. The staff is very professional. We really enjoyed our stay here

Facilities are excellent. It's an immersive experience in the landscape and its inhabitants. Food is great and staff friendly and knowledge.

Very nice location that has a view over the waterhole from the restaurant the pool and the room we were in.

My wife and I had a truly fantastic time at Ongava the staff were terrific and the location was fantastic, a special mention to our game drive ranger Kapona he was extremely knowledgeable about wildlife and helped to us to see the animals up close whilst remaining safe.
