The whole property was very clean and attention to details in the bedroom to ensure guests comfort was really appreciated. The host was extremely friendly and made the farm experience exceptional. The dinner and breakfast were some of the best we’ve had on our trip to Namibia.

“Absolutely Wonderful Stay – A Real Gem in Namibia”

Our stay at Farmstay Okakeua was simply perfect. The property is beautifully maintained, with a lovely garden and a refreshing pool — a real oasis in the Namibian landscape. Our room was modern, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could need. But what truly makes this place special is Merisa, the owner. She made us feel completely at home from the very first moment. The dinner she prepared was by far the best we had in all of Namibia — worthy of a top restaurant! Every detail was carefully considered, and the atmosphere she created was warm and genuine. Merisa was also incredibly kind in sharing stories about their farm and life in Namibia, which made the evening even more memorable. It was the perfect way to spend our last night in the country. We only wish we had more time to explore the property further! Highly recommended for anyone traveling between Windhoek and Etosha or the Caprivi region — a stay here will make your journey truly special.

How to describe it.. We just felt at home. You can see the care and love in the attention to all small details. The owner prepared a delicious dinner for us with mostly products from their estate. The breakfast was super as well. The room was lovely and comfortable. The doggies are a plus for extra cuddles.. especially if you left your pet at home.

From the friendly welcome from our hostess until our departure the next day we were charmed by this oasis. The two rooms are very tastefully furnished. Lovely bathrooms. Set in a beautiful garden. We took a game drive around the property. And then we were treated to a fantastic dinner. Breakfast was wonderful also.

We are so happy to have spent our last night in Namibia at Okakeua Farm— that way we ended our vacation on an absolute high! From the moment we arrived Merisa made us feel so very welcome. We enjoyed our conversations and are so thankful for the care we were given. Everything was thought of to even the smallest detail in the room as well as the decorations at dinner and breakfast. These home cooked meals prepared with ingredients from the farm were delicious. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet night on the Namibian countryside :)

The meals she prepared were absolutely delicious, and her attention to detail made everything even more special. During our visit, we were the only guests on the farm, which gave us a truly private and peaceful experience. The wildlife around the farm was spectacular. We were lucky to spot giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and springboks in their natural habitat, creating memories we will cherish forever. wonderful stay in this place! Merisa is a great host, very attentive. the rooms are very well laid out and decorated, there is really a sense of detail. dinners and breakfasts are excellent. Merisa cooks fine and elaborate dishes based on farm products. dinner and breakfast are the best we had during our 3 weeks stay in Namibia. It is a perfect place to stay the day of your arrival or departure in Namibia or to spend a few days in a typical Namibian farm.

“A place to remember”

Everything. An Oasis in the middle of nowhere. The setting, the rooms the animals and not to forget Merisa. She went out of her way to make us feel good and comfortable. Not to talk about diner and breakfast. A feast for the eye and delicious. We were sorry to leave. Dont look for anything else.

“Very lovely experience”

Very interesting experience! Something different than lodges or hotels. It feels like you are a guest at friend’s or relative’s home. The territory is green as oasis. Big trees, perfect grass, plants and flowers. Like a fairy tale. Every detal is thought of. Lovely design. The hostess Merisa is absolutely fantastic! She told us many interesting things about the farm and living in Namibia. Mrs. Merisa cooks very delicious food. We enjoyed a 3 course dinner. And breakfast was also really good. All the food is fresh, homemade and individual. The rooms are spacious, new and modern. Very private place, because there is only one guest house, which consists of 2 rooms. So, only 2 couples at a time. Lovely cat Victoria and a dog Peety 😀 The farm has domestic animals and wild too. So, there is a nice game drive, who would like to spend the time more interesting than resting by the pool. Mrs. Merisa is very intelligent, elegant and lovely lady. Always smiling, always checking, if we were good and comfortable. It was an amazing stay, something else than all the other experience in Namibia. I think, it would be very good choice for everybody just to know the life of locals and to be pampered by attention and love 😀

Marissa was really nice and cooked an excellent dinner. It was a bit cold, but Marissa provided us with hot bed bottles and we slept perfectly.
