“A magical lakeside location”

The whole location is magical. We stayed over Christmas week to New Year. Watching the northern lights and fireworks at midnight was like a dream. We arrived in the dark and waking to the vuew if the frozen lake was amazing. The host is very freindly and accommodating. The house was dressed for Christmas which was a lovely touch. On arrival his family had dug out slides in the snow for the children to aledge down to the frozen lake. Lots of sledges there to use. There is a very steep long drive down to the location and thr hosts advice for a 4x4 should be followed in winter. A snow plough came one day to clear it for us and the host helped us off the drive the first night. The last night we left the mini van at the top in case we couldn't get out on his advice. It's a steep 4 min walk to the top but doable for a regular unfit person. The location feels like you are o. The edge of civilisation its so quiet and remote. Easy 45 min drive to all the main hub and santa claus village for the days you venture out but you could easily just stay in the property and enjoy the facilities and powder snow. The host showed us around on arrival and how to use the hot tub sauna and fires. He also whatsappd us when the auras were due which was a lovely touch. The fire pit hut is so lovely to use in the winter. The sauna and hot tub are both very warm even in -16 temperature. The shower is outside in the sauna but it's so hot you don't notice the cold walking back the 10 seconds to the main house. The house is beautifully decorated and clean. 2 singles in a loft room and a ground floor double with lake views. There is a double sofa bed in the lounge with large tv and great WiFi. The kitchen has ample crockery cooking and cleaning facilities inc hoovers etc. There is a washing machine in the bathroom which was useful too. We would love to return in the future. “Absolutely Fabulous.”

We were a group of five adults and we all fell in love with this place. The location was idyllic on the edge of a Forest next to a large lake (it was frozen as we visited in December). There was a hot tub, sauna and a fire pit in the outside hut. It was all perfect and the owner was so friendly and helpful.

Perfect chalet in the middle of nowhere with a breathtaking view. I definitely recommend this property, there’s everything you need in the kitchen and lots of plugs. Just one thing you should know, you will need a SUV or a 4 wheel drive vehicle to be able to exit the property during winter as the road is steep. Thank you to Antti for coming to remove the snow from the road for us or else we would have missed our prepaid activity.
