Whilst Casa Puertas has been beautifully renovated, as a heritage building, keeping the wonderful original features but offering very high spec facilities it is the wonderful Carmena and her sisters who make the place extra special. The Secret Garden is also an amazing and totally unique facility where you can relax right by the ocean but also dry your washing! Breakfast was also exceptional with freshly squeezed orange juice and scrambled eggs made to order; delicious!

Honestly this was a highlight of the Camino. Gorgeous 14 Century Home run by Marie Jose who is just the sweetest lady. Comfy rooms that are really pretty and spacious with lovely bathroom. The breakfast was really good cooked Breakfast. Thank you Marie Jose.

This is a beautiful guest house in the hamlet of oia The lady shows us around . There is a lounge , kitchen if you want to prepare yourself food. The secret garden through a door way is lovely with views over the sea. There is a laundry next door The room was beautiful and the views towards the monastery. Breakfast was very good with fruit , yogurt and freshly made omelette. Would highly recommend We stayed 1 night whilst walking the Camino

“Beautiful Inside & Out”

The location was perfect as we were walking the Camino and Casa Puertas is right on the path, a beautiful building from the outside & even more so inside. The staff/owners we met were very helpful and provided a great service, we were allocated room 1 and it has to be the finest room in the property, a nice big room beautifully decorated, nice furnishings and a very comfy bed, the balcony doors when open give a superb view down the old paved street, also the old street lights that come on in the evening are fantastic. There is a lounge area for relaxing, and a dining room where breakfast is served, both are beautiful with fabulous furniture, an added bonus is the secret garden, an absolute gem of a garden hideaway that's coupled with a path leading down to a rocky area. Next morning we had breakfast, fresh & plentiful with something for everyone, all in all Casa Puertas was a highlight of our Camino, a truly amazing place to stay.

The owner was fantastic, the bed comfortable, and the shower great. Breakfast was handy given limited options nearby. Perfect location; it truly felt like the best place in town. We only wish we’d stayed longer.

Carmin was a great hostess lovely place to stay and made very welcome. Small location by the coast with a beautiful restaurant nearby and beautiful views. Lovely location.

Location is great right in the centre. It's a beautiful historic building. Everything is well cared for. There is a fab communal kitchen area for making tea / coffee and packed lunches, with use of a fridge. Staff are lovely
