It’s a nice place to go as a solo traveller backpacker. A 15min walk from the center but only about 6min to the lake so it’s a win. And for the price is a great place.

Stayed at Hostel Blue Lake for two nights, and it was one of my best hostel experiences. Hostel was super lovely and clean, and the wonderful hosts provided the best service. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone who is travelling solo or with friends to Ohrid.

It still feels like an old school hostel. Super friendly staff, a bit chaotic, but full of charm. We wish we could chave stayed longer.

Good vibes only! That's the place for you to stay in Ohrid. Close to the center, to bars, restaurants and 1 block away to the Lake. Nice dorms, nice common area and awesome staff.

i loved absolutely everything about blue lake 🫶🏻 the location is perfect, the beds/rooms are comfortable , the common room is the best place to chill and kitchen is equipped for everything. there was such a friendly atmosphere. the owners are THE BEST people in the world. i will absolutely be going back just to see them. they’re so passionate, helpful and kind 🫶🏻❤️

“One of my best hostel experiences in Europe”

First of all the location is incredible, just around the corner from the waterfront but on a quiet street so no noise at night. The hostel was clean and comfortable, dorms have everything you need, a socket for charging, places to store your bags and their own bathrooms. Well equipped kitchen and loungeroom which is accessible 24/7 where people gather in the evenings to talk/watch movies together. But the highlight for me has the be the couple who own it. Nino and Vesna were so kind and welcoming, happy to answer any questions you might have about the area or Macedonia in general, give recommendations for local restaurants/bars or even organise a Taxi/bus tickets for you. Staying here was definitely a highlight of my trip and I'll for sure be back next time I'm in Ohrid 🤗

My second time here and couldn't have chosen a better place to stay in Ohrid. The hostel is really cozy, has a nice common area, spacious room and is really well located. Nino and Vesna are awesome hosts and the staff really friendly. They are always willing to help you in everything you need. Thanks for the awesome time BlueLake!

“One of the best stays!”

Absolutely loved my stay here, i was made to feel welcome from the very start, the hostel is spacious with a good kitchen and common area, the rooms were big with lots of space for storage, i arrived early and was able to check in and got a double bed in the shared dorm which was really comfortable. Wifi worked well, and it was a very short walk to the lake, Gabi helped with all the local area info and gave great recommendations on where to get good food/or cooking supplies. She kept the hostel squeaky clean :) Nino & Vesna are the absolute best, they are amongst the warmest hosts i've EVER met on my travels and I ended up staying more nights as it was great to get to know them and enjoy their company. They go above and beyond and it is really evident they love what they do, we had some nice conversations and they shared Burek & Rakija and gave the best tips of what to do in the area. The hostel has a nice vibe and i recommend anyone to come spend a few nights when travelling to Ohrid. Can't thank everyone enough for the experience i had here.

Blue Lake Hostel is one of the best places I’ve stayed in. The location is amazing, very close to the lake, the dorms are comfy and everything is super clean. Nino and Vesna are the best hosts ever, they are really sweet and nice, they gave me and my friends recommendations of what to do here in Ohrid and always made sure that our stay was great! I really recommend this place and I will definitely be back during summer! x

Big single bed was a nice change from bunks. It was a walkable distance to town and the lake, with good grocery stores nearby. The staff were helpful and friendly
