The home cooked food was good and some of the family were lovely. They kindly gave us a lift from.the station and took us to get some cash from Bogatala (we did pay for this)

Simple but very friendly and kind Homestay. Nice Accomodation close to Hortons and good local food or lunchpackage on request. Beautiful located in Nature! We could even watch bear-monkeys(pourpour-langur) from the garden :D

No electricity.

The owners are really sweet and very helpful (they don't speak much english but we understood each other just fine). She made us home-cooked dinner and packed a delicious breakfast for us to take to the morning trekking. The brother of the owner took us to Horton Plains for a fair price and got us to the main entrance in just 30 min. Altogether was a good experience!

Lovely property, verily simple for the price but nice location if you want to go to Horton Plains. But close to nothing else around. So best for families in order to make the journey a bit cheaper. The host can cook food for you which is super delicious!

The people who run this place are very friendly, and the old lady cooks very nice curry, and very cheaply too. If you are a group, having the bungalow with three bedrooms and a small living room to yourself is very nice.

Good location to visit Horton Planes National Park. The entrance to the park from this side is much less crowded, so starting in the morning is easier. The owners are very friendly, though speak almost no English.

“A Serene Escape with Exceptional Hospitality”

This place is located in a peaceful and quiet environment uphill, with a stream running close by and within walking distance to the Ohiya Railway Station. The room and bathroom were simple and clean with adequate facilities. There is also a shared space for dining. It can be kinda chilly early in the morning and at night. It is managed by a lovely couple who warmly welcomed me with tea. They have been very friendly, helpful, and hospitable throughout my stay. Also prepared delicious Sri Lankan food upon request, and the prices are very reasonable as well. They further assisted me in arranging a ride to Horton Plains National Park and introduced me to another wonderful person named 'Rupasinghe'. He was very informative about the attractions / viewpoints and helped me with my travel plans too. I would happily recommend this place if you're planning to visit Horton Plains National Park, Devil's Staircase, or Bambarakanda Falls.

Nice hotel. Basic room, but the owners were really friendly and good. They made me a big dinner, arranged a Tuk Tuk to get to World’s End and gave me a packed lunch. Ohiya is also a nice location. Recommended if you’re there.

“No complaints at all”

The Sri Lankan rice and curry was super and I could not have asked for more. The way it was served was also super special. The room was comfortable and I had no complaints. The hotel is virtually inside a forest reseve and the environment is calm, soothing and enchanting with the sounds of bear monkeys heard in the mornings. They can also be seen in the trees not wanting to be disturned. I recomment this place to anyone who wants to savour fine Sri Lankan rice and curry and have the peace and comfort of being in the wild. It is also a kilo metre away from the Ohiya railway station and the Horton Plains world heritage listing. Best regards to the couple who made by three day stay very confortable.

It was an extremely nice stay! The people were really nice and even organized a pickup from the trainstation (without us asking for it:). In the morning we wanted to leave at 5:30 to the Horton Plains and they even proposed to give us lunch packages at that time! (We had to decline since we had already bought some snacks but I would have loved to do that!) Dinner was also proposed to prepare at 9 or 10 pm! Which we sadly also had already eaten. But all these offers were really nice and the room itself was also very nice and clean:)

“Comfortable stay near Ohiya Station”

The property is fairly close to the train station. While at first glance the price may seem a bit high for the quality of the room, the meals are excellent and cheap. When you consider both together, the value's quite good.
