Hotel Klek is located in Ogulin, about 3 km from city center in a part of town called Otok Oštarijski. It is set in a quiet area surrounded by greenery and fields and offers free Wi-Fi, a restaurant and a bar. All rooms are fitted with a seating area and satellite TV, while the private bathroom provides a shower and free toiletries. The hotel restaurant offers local specialties, meat and grill dishes. A covered summer terrace is available in the garden, while the front desk is open 24 hours a day and features a safe. A supermarket is available just a few steps from Klek Hotel. We stayed at this hotel for a one-night stopover during an 8-hour road trip—it was right around the halfway point. We arrived around 9:00 PM, and unfortunately the restaurant was closed. To make things worse, there were repair works going on with a drill until about 11:30 PM, which made it hard to relax. On the plus side, there is a large supermarket right below the hotel, though that means the parking lot gets crowded and noisy early in the morning. The hotel facilities were standard and matched the price—nothing luxurious, but acceptable for a quick stay. The room had air conditioning, but the window wouldn’t stay open, and we could hear a lot of noise from the outside early in the morning. Since we had to leave early anyway, it wasn’t a huge issue. I chose this hotel mainly because of the included breakfast, which seemed promising based on other reviews. In the end, it was a bit underwhelming: basic cold cuts, cheese, bread, and eggs (which you have to request prepared your way). There was filtered coffee and some syrup water, but surprisingly, no fruit juice at all. All in all, it’s a decent place to spend the night if you need a quick rest during a long drive, but manage your expectations accordingly.

Good restaurant for dinner, breakfast rather mediocre. Supermarket in the same building. We used that for a sleepover on the way to the south. Standard beds for all family members (no sofa).

“Cute little transit hotel”
Location was good, close to motorway, very friendly staff, there is a restaurant downstairs serving not only the included breakfast but we had dinner there too. So all day dinning. Rooms are spacious- simple but good for an overnight transit.

The staff was friendly and polite, the breakfast huge and tasty. The room was very clean. They received us really late at night at 11 PM and they were still friendly. We had reserved this hotel only 10 minutes before and they already knew and everything was in order.

“Good stopover, nice staff”
Not the most appealing of hotels visually (above a supermarket) but it met all our requirements. The lady on reception was very welcoming and helpful. Fast food service, overall very good value.
