Renovated in autumn 2015, Pension Stecher is within 200 metres of a grocery store, a supermarket, restaurant, the Hoch Ötz ski area and cable car, a bank and a public outdoor pool. Ötz town centre and a ski bus stop are within a 5-minute walk, and Piburger Lake is 3 km away. Rooms at the Stecher have a balcony or terrace with mountain views, free WiFi, satellite TV, and a bathroom with a shower and toilet. The rooms can be accessed via a lift. The property has a reception, a lounge area, a bar, a garden with sun chairs and an exterior bar for 'après ski', a luggage and ski storage room, a sun terrace, children's playground and table tennis facilities. We had a large balcony which was in the shade most of the day. Supermarket next door and an Italian restaurant opposite with takeaway pizzas.

“Loved Hotel Stecher - Lothar's Bar is like the Cheers of Austria !!”
Hotel Stecher is a traditional-style Austrian hotel, very clean & comfortable and only a short walk from the ski lift. The couple who run it are both delightful & couldn't do enough during a stay with my family in early March 2024. Lothar's bar just outside the hotel ( run by the owner ) is a great spot for post-ski refreshment. I will very definitely be coming back !
