Overview
Musangano Lodge offers accommodation in the hilly woodlands of Eastern Zimbabwe and about 28 km from the border town of Mutare. The resort has an outdoor pool. Blending into their natural surrounding, the secluded thatched chalets offer a seating area, a fireplace, and a desk. They have a bay window and a kitchenette with fridge and electric kettle. Each has a separate dressing area and a patio with view. Guests can enjoy a meal at PaMuchakata Restaurant which serves a fusion of African and European cuisine. Outdoor dining options are also available. There are marked nature trails to explore and the area offers mountain bike trails as well as bird watching opportunities. Trips into the neighbouring communities can also be arranged. The resort also offers a children's playground. The resort is 1 hour drive from attractions such as the Vumba Mountains, Nyanga National Park and Honde Valley.

We had a fantastic stay at Musangano Lodge with family. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the view from our room was absolutely stunning. It's a peaceful, well-run place that made us feel right at home. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway!

“Beautiful location. Beyond our expectations.”
We stayed just under a week in one of their lodges. The pictures on booking.com looked great, the actual experience was even better. The lodges have a great mix of traditional architecture and comfort, are spacious and clean. The view from the terrace of our lodge across the highlands was breath taking, especially at sunset. You can do walks and hikes within the property but it is also well located for drives further away, for instance to the Nyanga National Park. They have a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a pool, a playground for kids. Great for a family vacation.

“Hidden gem!”
I want to take my time to write you guys a great review! This truly was a hidden gem on our way towards eastern Zimbabwe. The staff were truly friendly and accommodating, the food was delicious and the sleeping arrangements themselves were lovely. What a view from our room, amazing! There are several walks starting from the grounds. These were well marked and lead us through the beautiful surroundings. I wish to thank Musangano Lodge and all its staff for a wonderful stay!

Fantastic secluded location with beautiful views. We enjoyed the nature walks in the bush and the sunsets from the veranda. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Very clean and comfortable.
