This is simply an amazing place. Super friendly owner, lovely wines. Got to taste wine in the cellar. The furnishings were beautiful. The evening meal was sensational as well as breakfast. A real treat. Riders beware ... 3km of 10% hill to climb to get there from the river. 🤣🤣🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️ what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

The property cancellled our booking 2 hours before arrival, the rooms were booked and they failed to update online.

Absolutely brilliant Gasthaus! Paul, his family and the whole staff team are just really lovely hosts and the hotel and restaurant were exceptional in terms on cleanliness and quality of food. The breakfast available was one of the best hotel breakfast selections we've ever had over many years of travelling around, and the wines are excellent too. We'd return just to visit this place again, but its also a great base to go hiking around the Rhine Valley.

“A magical hotel in a stunning part of the world .”

This was one of the most beautiful hotels that we have stayed at , in our whole European holiday. The hotel is of wonderful German traditional style , but with all the modern touches you need to be comfortable . The host and staff are all super friendly and warm , and really look after you . We had a delicious dinner and breakfast in the beautiful dining room, and enjoyed taking a walk around the stunning countryside even though it was very cold at the time of year we visited.

“Perfect stop over an extension of your holiday while traveling home to the Netherlands”

A classic family run German hotel, with easy and warm approach to hospitality. The restaurant in the hotel offers a fine German menu, with much more than just schnitzel. Wine is served form the own winery. The breakfast is fabulous with a wide selection of small pre made salads, fish, meats, pie's etc. well above what you get in many 5 start hotels. If you drive there, do take the route via the Rhine, it is a breathtakingly beautiful. We were on a long drive home from Austria to the Netherlands and were very glad we chose to add this night to our holiday.

What can I say? It was a hidden gem! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, with excellent English The room was nice, spacious and very clean - and so was the bathroom. The dinner was amazing and the breakfast was OMG - one of the most varied we've ever had - several homemade cakes, homemade waffles at the moment, homemade eggs on the spot, dozens and dozens of savoury foods... Also, you can buy their own jams and wines - both amazing Finally, the location was beautiful

This is a beautiful place to stay with great history, lovely rooms both bedrooms and eating areas. Friendly owner and staff, it’s obviously popular with locals too as food quality and service is so good. We bought some wine too as what we had with our evening meal was really good.
