The apartments are in an excellent location for skiing being only a few metres from the lifts and being only a short walk to restaurants and hotels .The accommodation was clean and spacious and had everything that we wanted. Stefanie was very accommodating helpful and friendly and could not have done more to make our stay enjoyable.

Excellent breakfast

This was one of the nicest guesthouses that we stayed at in Austria. The rooms are very clean and appear to have been recently refurbished with all facilities looking clean and tidy. We stayed in multiple rooms due to the size of the party, and there is a small recreational area downstairs at the reception where we could meet on several evenings for games, chat, and beers. We have also been offered the space in the breakfast area for Christmas Eve. The hostess was absolute star throughout our 1-week stay: very friendly with all guests, helpful and cheerful. All guests received Christmas Gifts from the hosts on the Christmas Day - this was a nice surprise. Thank you! The location for skiing is also great. There is an option to ski-in and ski-out (with a short walk), although the lift (Festkogelbahn) is just a few minutes walk as well. The two other lifts (in Hohe Mut Talstation) are further away, in about 10 min walk (or bus ride + 2 min).

“A fantastic week in the beautiful mountains of Obergurgl”

Stefanie and her family run a wonderful guesthouse, where nothing is too much trouble. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and exceptionally clean and well ordered. Breakfast was varied and plentiful - a great start to the day. Its location in the village is excellent - easy reach if ski school and lifts up to the main ski area, ski hire shop next door and a supermarket only 5 mins walk away. Stefanie was always on hand with fabulous recommendations for restaurants etc and was very quick to put right any problems. She looked after us brilliantly and we would recommend Haus Verwall to everyone! We very much look forward to returning.

Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, location was great with restaurants and bars nearby, the summer pass included in the room was amazing and really enjoyed spending the morning exploring the nearby gondolas, dog friendly, parking on site, really lovely rooms and comfy beds

“Simply exceptional!”

The place is simply exceptional. Spacious, clean, everything works perfectly. First, the bathroom: many towels, working shower, hot water that is actually hot, shampoos and conditioners provided. Kitchenette had all possible appliances, including cutting boards, glasses of all types etc. There were three of us travelling, so the expectation was that one will simply crash on a sofa in the living room, but when we arrived this sofa was already turned into a full-size bed with sheets and pillows on it. Incredibly nice and thoughtful. Bedroom had a comfy double bed and looked nice overall. Wooden balcony with a nice moon over Alps view — no comments. The staff in the hotel is extremely nice, helped us with the late check-in, sent very clear text instructions on how to get to the place and where to park (parking is available right by the entrance). At the checkout we were given various discount cards and passes for dozens of local attractions, including a free entry to the Top Mountain Motorcycle Museum on Hochgurgl. Incredible place, 10000% recommended.
