The property has top location between lake and volcanic features. We enjoyed the extensive buffet at dinner and breakfast. The rooftop hot bath is excellent.

Very nice view from the 5th floor open air onsen. Buffet dinner and buffer breakfast were delicious with plenty of options. They allowed me to leave my luggage early the day of arrival and leave it at the front desk until noon the day of departure.

The rooms and facilities are well maintained and kept exceptionally clean, so while the fixtures are old, it lends to the charm of the place.

“A great onsen break”
Great roof-top onsen style bath with views of the lake. Very quiet location even though it is a large hotel. Great selection of food at the dinner and breakfast buffets. Interesting walks through the hells (jigoku) hot spring fields. Very reasonably priced restaurants in the small town centre. There is also a local bus service linking the hotel with Isahaya station and Shimabara ferry port.

“The best thing about the hotel is the evening buffet.”
I'll start with the positive. A very pleasant room size, good view, friendly and helpful staff and generally a lot of space in the hotel by Japanese standards. The best thing about the hotel is the evening buffet. I have rarely eaten such a good dinner. The dinner is also very attractively priced. The hotel is also very centrally located and at the same time very close to nature and a lake.

Everything. The location was beautiful with multiple places to walk to see the beautiful scenery, easy access from the train station using the bus, the Onsen was relaxing, the rooms were spacious and clean.

Buffet Dinner and Breakfast are great! Outdoor Onsen was amazing - view of the lake! The proximity to the thermal pools was also a plus!!!
