Clean, comfortable and really friendly staff. Its in a quiet area so the noise from the bars/centre don't bother you. There is a beautiful roof terrace where breakfast is served every morning!

“Lovely hotel in Oaxaca”

Lovely hotel with friendly staff and good breakfast options. We were welcomed in a very friendly way and got a lot of information about the hotel and Oaxaca, it made us feel right at home.

“A hotel on a hill overlooking the Santo Domingo Church.”

This hotel is located on a hill slightly outside the city center and has all the necessary amenities. Breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace, which offers a great view of the Santo Domingo Church. Tours to Hierve el Agua and Monte Albán can be booked through the hotel, and I participated in one myself; it was a very fulfilling tour. I was even able to book it the night before. Overall, I had a very enjoyable stay.

Bed is okay

Good location to explore the city by foot (a bit uphill!), beautiful rooftop terrace with nice view over the city, where you have breakfast and a bar in the evening. Breakfast okay, had to pay extra for egg dishes. Very nice staff.

“Incredible balcony views, very friendly staff”

The view from the balcony over the entire city was just stunning and a great place to relax with a drink from the bar, you also also eat breakfast up there which was a great way to start the morning. It was a great location only a short walk into town and the staff were all so lovely and happy to help. There was also a good selection of day trips and taxi services which the staff are happy to book for you for excursions out of the city.

“Nice small hotel close to the old town”

Breakfast at the rooftop terrace was super nice and tasty. Bed was comfortable. Short walk (10 mins) from Zocalo. There is a self service laundry nearby which was very convenient. The personnel was very nice and helpful.

“Great stay with kind service and a quiet location”

We spent a week at Casa Mayahuel and had a positive experience overall. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the bed was comfortably large, which we really appreciated. The location is about a 10-minute walk from the city center; we saw this as an advantage as it’s close enough to the action but away from the main tourist noise, with plenty of local shops and restaurants nearby. Xochimilco is very close,

The place is falling apart. Our curtains fell off the wall in the middle of the night. They said they would fix it the next day, but they didn’t. The toilet role holder also fell off the wall, they said they would fix it but instead they just took it away. The fridge was also broken which they did fix but our food was already spoiled by then. AC was very dusty and dirty, wasn’t nice to have on at night. And the walls/windows are paper thin, could hear every noise within 100m. Had sleep with earplugs in.
