The place is nice, clean and well lookated. The owner is very welcoming and helpful, really nice person, who is running the hostel understanding what people need/want and making every single guest feel special and valuable. Also helping a lot with advice, local "secrets" and in every way to make your stay nice and easy!

“Cozy apartment, friendly host, amazing value for money”

We were in the apartment, which is on the other side of the street from the hostel, and ended up not really going over there, as everything you need is in the apartment. It was a spacious room, a well equipped kitchen, and decent internet. For the money it was a perfect stay and the staff went out of their way to make sure it was cleaned everyday! I want to give extra praise to Moises! He was super helpful and kind and really went out of his way to make our stay super comfortable. We left with such an amazing impression of Oaxaca thanks to him and I can’t wait to come back. Oh, location is great too! It is outside the center by just a few mins walk, but feels safe, and there are tons of good food options around that are inexpensive and very authentic! (Again Moises had great recs for this)

“Best value hostel in Oaxaca”

Staff are really friendly and the owner speaks good english, facilitates are basic but do the job. Everything was clean and it had a decent kitchen, it is a bit out of the way but its really not bad its just a 20ish min walk to the main square and its through pretty back streets anyway.

I went back a second time because I loved how hospitable and decent the owner and volunteers were. You'll feel right at home here and experience the very best Mexico has to offer. I couldn't recommend highly enough for anyone wishing to experience great value for money and the feeling of being at home.

Moses is one of the best hosts you can imagine. I loved the garden and the atmosphere amongst staff and guests alike. Highly recommended!

“We came back and extended our stay”

Moises was very friendly and accommodating helping us with anything we needed for our bikes. Cleaning everyday, free water, good wifi everywhere, nice secure backyard, fully equipped kitchen, clean bathrooms, he is even doing improvements and making the spaces nicer.

Great place to stay several nights, not « in » the center but perfectly located to sleep in a quiet area and still enjoy the life of the city center ! Great room with a private bathroom and great kitchen space to cook meal all stay long 👍🏼

“A great home base in Oaxaca.”

The host is incredibly helpful with recommendations and things that you need during your stay. We have been back three times now during our exploration of Oaxaca state. The host even kept our big backpacks safe as we took a road trip for a few days. It’s a 15 minute walk from the town centre but we liked the distance and having a chance to walk the street helped us get to know the city better.

“Comfy Hostel near centro with everything you need”

The beds were comfy and had a nice little kitchen and huge sturdy bag lockers. The owner is very nice. I checked in late at night and he was there waiting for me and was very helpful and kind. He also let me store my bags there past checkout while I was exploring Mitla for the day. The volunteers working there were great as well. Located on a quiet well-lit street near street food, restaurants, and a Sorianna grocery store.

Very helpful owner. Nice and cozy room for couple. There’s hot shower available too:) Good location to access the biggest local market, supermarkets and Centro.
