“A beautiful and stylish hotel in the heart of Oaxaca. We enjoyed our stay!”

The hotel is very nicely designed with lots of colors, painted walls and the overall concept with little seating areas all around the courtyard appealed to us a very much. It is a beautiful hotel. The staff was always very friendly and helpful, the location is great and breakfast was very tasty too. We booked a larger room and enjoyed it a lot, but I will add, that due to the design of the building (and presumably many buildings in Oaxaca), there are only few windows towards the courtyard and not towards the outside, so it does feel a little contained. Which was fine for us, since we intended to spend most of our time outside anyway and the room was very stylish and a nice change for us. The bathroom was very nice as well.

Had a really perfect stay here. The staff were a highlight—super welcoming, down-to-earth, and always helpful in a genuine way. A lot of thought has gone into the design concept of the entire space too; it feels super stylish, yet relaxed and luxurious all at the same time. The room struck a nice balance between design and comfort—looked great, but also felt easy to settle into. We also really appreciated the "little touches" that went a long way such as coffee, tea, and snacks being available throughout the day. It made everything feel more homely. The cleanliness is impeccable. The cleaning staff is really on it. The neighbourhood is vibrant and lively, with lots to see and do nearby, which made it a great spot to stay. The complaints in comments/reviews from others about the music from neighbouring clubs being too loud is somewhat valid, but honestly, it did not affect our rest here at all. All in all, it’s the kind of place that just feels easy yet luxurious at the same time and well put together—we will definitely come back.

Top-quality hotel, top-quality amenities, top-quality architecture. We fell in love with the hotel from the photos, but in person it exceeded every expectation. We’ll definitely be coming back!

“Charming Stay with Authentic Local Touches”

I really enjoyed my stay at Pug Seal. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the Zócalo and the Santo Domingo church. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, and breakfast in the common area was both delicious and full of local flavors. My favorite spot was the terrace, with a view on the relaxing water installation.

This is a very easy place to feel relaxed in, the ambiance is great , the staff are well trained, well managed and well selected. There are thoughtful things for guests, like a fridge with foc drinks in the room, snacks, and drinks for guests in the various courtyards the rooms are spacious and someone’s took, A lot of effort to make them comfortable , interesting and visual. Great big comfortable beds too. The breakfasts are great interesting, tasty and a good choice,

“A go to gem Boutique Hotel in Oaxaca.”

The hotel is in a very good location in the heart of the Cultural Center of Oaxaca and about 20 minutes from the airport. It is walking distance from very good restaurants, street food, local markets and all the beautiful churches and cathedrals, namely the spectacular Santo Domingo Church. The staff are exceptionally helpful, very welcoming and nice and all English speakers. They serve a la carte breakfast in different places of the property (made of 21 rooms) with a very good variety of food and beverage choices. The property makes you feel at home rather than in a hotel. Definitely a go to accommodation in Oaxaca.
