Staff were extremely helpful, early check-in, help with booking taxi and a tour to hierve el agua, which was super cool. Rustic room with AC!!!! And great location

“Perfect parador to explore beautiful Oaxaca”

The location was perfect for a first visit to Oaxaca. The hotel was in an old building with bags of character, a wide stone leading up to the first floor rooms, overlooking the courtyard. Our room was big with high ceiling and two double beds. A small balcony opened up to the hustle and bustle of Calle López. Fan and A/C kept the temperature down. The staff were friendly and helpful without being overbearing, letting you get on with things. The café attached served a good local breakfast. Very happy for 5 nights.

Great location in the center. Big room with a heat pump which provided very effective air conditioning. Free purified water always available. Restaurant was good.

The staff are really wonderful, friendly and helpful. The central location makes it easy to enjoy lots of activities and restaurants. Breakfast offers many choices and always served with a smile! The architecture of the building is beautiful and with 14 rooms it’s quiet with a personal touch.

Gracious and spacious room, more like an apartment, looking out onto a courtyard with plants and a visiting hummingbird. Tea and coffee making facility and direct access to a cafe downstairs. Hotel is beautiful, was converted from an old mansion and retains a lot of character.

The big bed was awesome, the room had several fans, and you could regulate so it never went cold. The way the staff accommodated the need for an iron. They brought one and let us have it a whole afternoon, we needed it to get ready

Great location, next to Zocalo. They offer free of charge parking 2 blocks away from the hotel (5min walk). Staff was very polite and helpful.

“Top choice in Oaxaca”

:) I stayed here twice. The first time we booked the Suite, and the second time a room with two double beds and both are much more spacious than appears in the pictures. The bathroom is quite large, the bed is amazing and the windows and door opening into the courtyard of flowers is the dream you never want to wake from. The hotel staff are pleasant and helpful (especially David) and willing to try their English on you to help you navigate the city busses and collectivos. The hotel Cafe on the main floor opens early and Josue will make you a latte on command for only 35 pesos. Location is amazing -- only a few blocks from the markets and the town square. Plus amazing gelato at the end of the street and a few local lunch places across the street for a good price. All that plus the hotel is in a 500 year old building with cobblestone floors and 12 foot high arched ceilings in your room make you feel like you travelled back in time. The location is close enough but not right next to the noisy tourist bars and clubs so you can still sleep peacefully at night. Highly recommend.

“A beautiful hotel and great value”

I liked everything about this hotel. It is beautiful as it was original a seventh century house. The staff are very helpful with booking tours and taxis. The breakfasts are tasty, the water pressure for a shower is excellent, everything is lovely and clean and well-maintained and free water is available on both levels,I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. It is great value for money.
