The staff here are very helpful, I called Didi to the station, and many times canceled, I turned to the front desk for help, and he immediately went to the side of the road to help me stop the taxi, so I didn't miss my bus, thank him so much (although I don't know his name)

The Iguana Hostel is one of the best Hostels I've stayed in (and I've stayed in quite a few Hostels in Mexico) You feel imediatly part of the family when you enter into the couy comon spaces with good music. The rooms are super comfy and the beds are amazing but more importantly for me the rest. The volunteers are the sweetest souls and so welcoming. The breakfast delicious and kitchen is clean, big and well equipet. You have space to do Yoga on the rooftop and many cozy common spaces there. It feels just very authentic and a good price for what you get. And maybe it was just my experience by I deeply believe this Hostel also attracts amazing people to have wonderfull time with in Oaxaca.Its a social Hostel but there is also a quiet time after 11, so you can have whatever you want in need and you will have a beautiful home.

Favorite hostel I stayed in in Mexico ! Vibes are immaculate and I love the way the dorm is set up, each bed has privacy courtains on every side without making you feel enclosed at all. Breakfast is made fresh every morning ! Super cool Terrasse that even has a pretty affordable bar and great activities happening every day

Best hostal in town ! This place have a real soul. Volonteers are the best, they are kind and they will give you all the advice you need about the town. It's really clean. Activities are organised almost everyday, so it's a great place to meet people. You will begin your day with a delicious homemade breakfast and a cool drink on the rooftop. Just go !

“A well delivered social hostel”

Sharing in a dorm but without bunk beds, and a privacy sheets between was a great alternative to the traditional hostel bed experience. They foster a very social environment with regular activities that most guests wish to engage in. Gorgeous rooftop for the bar and to hangout on. Excellent location to Centro and the bus station.

The decorations are unbelievable nice and unique. It has hippie vibes. The stuff is extremely kind and willing to help. We even got a homemade pizza in the evening. The hostel is located in the centre of Oaxaca. Walkable distance from the main bus station.

Staff is super nice and speak english. There is a pub on the roof witch is a meeting place in the evenings (with happy hour). Lots of common spaces to meet the other people in the hostel. The dorm rooms have some piracy with a curtain.

Met incredible people here! Especially the volunteers! I got sick (dengue) but everyone was very sweet , offered to go with me to the doctor, getting food, got me a more quite doorm etc. felt like family at the end ❤️ especially thanks to Frida. They should hire her for good! Also great places to chill and hangout. Loved the rooftop and hammocks. A lot of activities going on and great breakfast

Common area, rooftop chill area, spacious kitchen, location in the city, and the comfy beds! All in all great place to stay in the middle of oaxaca!

Great location, the included breakfast was tasty and ample, and I appreciated that while the hostel had a social/friendly atmosphere they respected quiet hours with a firm 11pm for the bar/music to shut down. I had booked a private room and found the bed comfortable and clean.

“100% Best Place To Stay”

Amazing place, it is designed so well as it has perfect amount of common areas which are good to relax in,the kitchen is very spacious and the bar is very cool and cheap. The rooms are also huge and very private with a curtain pull around,your own charging units,shelving and a light. The best thing about this place is the amazing staff specifically Thierry, Christopher and Pedro, lovely people who made the trip. This place is great to meet people and they organize so much events, also breakfast is great!

Great hostel experience! Clean and inviting with lots of outdoor space, friendly and attentive staff, active group chat with lots of great events and social opportunities both at the hostel and around town. A good pick for solo travelers and couples, especially those looking for a social vibe without being too big or overwhelming. Quiet hours were respected, so going to bed early was definitely possible.
