“Lovely hotel, but maybe not for everyone”
Lovely historic building very close to the centre. Beautifully restored. (Ask to see the library). For those reviewers who mentioned cold showers, I suspect they mistook’C’ for cold, whereas, of course, it is ‘C’ for caldo, which means hot! Also, shower drains in Mexico have a fine mesh cover which you can move away with your foot. Good breakfast. All in all, a super hotel, but maybe not for people who want all the mod cons, and who hate stairs.

5 minutes walk from the Zocalo, spacious room, good quality of sleep, very friendly staff. They help you organise tours which saves you a lot of money compared to viator or getyourguide.

The colonial building is astonishing and we felt like royals in a vacation palace. The area around the hotel is great, there are lots of shopping opportunities for all kind of stuff. Right next to it is a market hall with amazing food. You need to try Tlayudas there!

“An older style hotel with quirky furniture, in an excellent location with great rooftop deck.”
The room was a good size with a king bed, and air conditioning. The roof top deck was really pleasant for a morning workout or evening beer to watch the sunset. The location was fantastic, right in Centro.

“Terrible experience: one room should not exist in a 4* hotel”
The paid upgrade room (with 2 double beds) was big, but still dark. From the first floor up it looks like a completely different hotel than the ground level.
