Very friendly staff. Inviting common areas. Useful kitchen. Rooftop terrace. Sturdy timber bunks with power but no curtains. Lockers provided. As good as chocolate but more central snd way better than Andaina for general vibe and meeting people

The hotel staff are very friendly and the location is excellent. It’s quite close to the city center. Although it’s next to a street, it’s not noisy at all in the rooms.

Huge & comfortable room, only stayed one night but the kitchen seemed well equipped and the courtyard was peaceful. Helpful staff and good location too

“Perfect location and beautiful patio”

I loved the location; it's close to the Zócalo and within walking distance of the entire city center. The patio with the hammocks is lovely for relaxing, and the kitchenette and refrigerator for cooking are very useful. The young man at reception was very friendly and gave me great tips on how to plan my time in Oaxaca, including which places I could reach on my own using public transportation and which were better to book a tour for. In addition the place was always clean.

I had a wonderful stay at Hostal de Luna. The atmosphere is warm and homely. Everything was peaceful and very clean. The facilities are good and made my stay even more comfortable. I loved unwinding at the main patio. The staff were polite, friendly, and always willing to help. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to other travelers.

“Good value for money, cozy hostel”

The staff was very helpful and booked us a great tour for a good price. The garden was really nice with plenty of spots to sit down (and a turtle :D). The location was also good, between the city centre and the ado bus station. There was a private toilet, and bare but fine showers.

“Good value for money!”

The staff were really friendly and helpful, let me leave my luggage before check-in and stay inside until 11pm on the check-out day. I stayed in 3 different hostels in Oaxaca and this one was the best because of how nice they were. The kitchen was well-equipped and there was free filtered water. The shared room had a bathroom but there were 2 more outside, so it was even more comfortable. The bed was nice and clean. I enjoyed staying the terrace and at the patio in a hammock.

Lovely peaceful little hostel, a few blocks from the zocalo and cafes and restaurants etc. Liked the cat and the turtles :)

The hosts were kind and helpful, rooms are wide and spacious! They're quite basic but for the central location and affordable price it's good. There is a nice indoor little plant garden with a pond and a few little animals which make it cosy and quiet. It wasn't particularly social but it meant it was nice and quiet during night time and sleeping hours.
