“In many years of travelling to Oaxaca this was my favourite.”

The location was perfect! Lots of good food options within walking distance. Bus stop right outside. Felt very safe even as a female travelling alone. The atmosphere of the entire hostel is very relaxing and the setting is beautiful. I loved sitting in the courtyard and eating my meals. The rooftop terrace was wonderful to spend some time on at the end of the day. Beautiful views. I really felt like a family member thanks to the incredibly welcoming and kind staff. Check out was 11am and I still had a decent amount of time so I used the free locker to store my luggage in while I went out for lunch. It was exceptionally clean. I chose to make my own meals and found the kitchen very functional and clean. The 24 hour front desk was very convenient, especially for a late check-in like mine. For my first hostel experience, I really got lucky. This isn’t your typical young traveller party hostel and that was a major requirement for me. There’s still lots of fun to be had, while still having a quiet space to sleep and stay asleep. And speaking of sleep I found my bed extremely comfortable. As my experiences in Oaxaca have been fairly noisy, I was blown away at how quiet Don Pablo was. I am already looking to book here again.

All the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The building and courtyard were beautiful. We very much enjoyed sitting on the rooftop terrace enjoying our breakfast. Would recommend!

“Great vibes”

This rambling old structure was full of charm and period details. With a terrace, reading room and game room it was a chill place to relax in any season. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the location was great. The room was spacious and comfortable. I particularly appreciated the coffee-maker.

The hostel has a nice atmosphere, with nicely decorated rooms, and is family-run, which contributes to a personal atmosphere. It's centrally located, at only a few blocks from the central square.

Everything that was in control of the hostel and the staff was great! Had a parking spot, my dog had a great time exploring the hotel. The roof terrace had a nice view. My bed was very comfy. All of that in the middle of the historic center.

We loved everything in this hostel; Angel and his staff, the comfort, the cleanliness, the decoration, the terrace, access to kitchen, the location which is close to the center but in the perfect quiet area. We extended our stay there for 6 nights total and it couldn't have been more perfect! There's a new car rental just on the corner which is perfect for a trip to hierve el agua at your own pace.

Everything, the WiFi was also amazing and I was able to work from the hotel for a few days rather than go out and find somewhere which was a huge bonus!
