Lovely old villa with comfy chairs and beds. We loved the open fire which warmed up the house beautifully. Well appointed kitchen with full oven. Netflix was a bonus. Weather was a bit cold and miserable, so we cranked up the fire, cooked a lovely dinner and watched movies. It was just the break away we needed. And the shower - best shower ever. Loads of hot water and great water pressure.

Beautiful house, plenty of space, warm and comfortable. Hosts are very responsive and ensure you have what you need.

“Welcoming”

I was a bit late, and Tina had lit the fire to warm the living and kitchen area for me. That was a lovely welcome. Tina took me through the home, then left me to relax and enjoy. A beautiful home. Very cosy and welcoming. Super comfortable bed, slept soundly both nights. Great kitchen, everything available. Within walking distance, the harbour to view seals and little penguins, the fantastic historical area in town, and of course the eateries.

“A wonderful stay”

The property is beautifully decorated and meticulously maintained. Every detail reflects their care and attention, making it a truly comfortable and welcoming place to stay. I would highly recommend The Villa to anyone visiting Omaru. A quick note for future guests: please be aware that the payment for the accommodation is cash only.

The host was lovely, however her husband was not. The Villa needs a deep clean there is mould in the bathroom, the carpet, curtains etc seem to not have been cleaned for a while. The Villa has beautiful antique furniture but as mentioned, it is is a sad state at the moment.

“Perfect Place for a Group Stay in Oamaru”

This accommodation was extremely comfortable and had a lovely antique atmosphere. There were five of us staying together with friends, and if you ever come to Oamaru, I would definitely recommend this place. Even though it was summer, the weather was cold, and the host kindly lit the fireplace for us, which made our stay even more cozy.

The house was amazing and the location is not far from the penguins that come up at night. Inside the house has everything you need like towels and all bed linen. The kitchen was fully stocked with plates cutlery and anything you need to cook there. Also if you need anything else the lady that owns it is just next door. She has great knowledge of the area so can help keep you busy while you stay.

Didn't have breakfast. Villa was very comfortable and close to the town.
